It's great stuff. ive never even considered using ultra light boots for anything other than late spring suffer fests.

That said I'm way behind the curve and still using Vulcans.

Yeah dude, it was definitely a HUGE leap of faith for me. Fortunately I could try some on locally first, we combined a couple orders to save on shipping, and ordered when the Euro was quite favorable.

    Well, nothing wrong with Vulcans!

It's been a while, but as a guess, I'd estimate with how the raceborgs are setup, they'll provide similar support/stiffness to a Vulcan w/o the add-on tongue, give or take.

The PG MTN ski more like a Vulcan with the tongue or current Hoji boots in terms of support/stiffness.

I can't imagine either of them would hold up the the punishment a Vulcan can take however

Those boots sound pretty sweet, I just can't imagine fitting my foot into a carbon boot that can't be punched... Even with the current carbon infused plastics it's hard to get wide enough.

I see them for $500 in the outlet, marshal sent an email yesterday about 20% off outlet skis. I dunno if that $500 is before or after 20% off

I am glad someone bought those BC90s finally. I am not getting on skis anytime soon, but at $400 I could have seen them sitting in my closest till this spring without a problem.

And they are going to a great home too! fired up, thanks everyone.

Down to 1 pair of R99 and 1 pair of FL113 left to move through. Then I will have enough space for all the new stuff showing up in a couple weeks!

Someone needs to compare these to the Bodes - that way I know if I'm missing out, and should feel really bad about not picking them up, or chuffed that I stayed true to my miserly ways and that I'm having as much fun on what I've already got as I possibly could.

Chewski did that in one of these HL threads. Sounds like it's a bit stiffer and a bit more "game on" than the Bodacious, iirc.

Wait BD discontinued the telekneesis? Absolutely tragic. I’ve been wearing them every day for the last 15 years. Would’ve hoarded if i knew. Sorry for thread drift

Those BD pads are pretty good for doing flooring or other bullshit where you gotta crawl around on your knees for an extended period of time.

MTB kneepads are light years better for actually skiing in though.

I also have a pair of BD kneepads in really good shape if someone is really lusting for a set. Just PM me and pay for shipping or pick up in SLC.

    Edit: pads have been claimed!
