I don’t think the Jedi would overlap too much with the FR110. I’d say get a pair. They look pretty similar from the front but the Jedi has quite a bit of camber compared to the reverse camber on the FR110. Jedi is a super fun ski. Great for high speed ripping and pretty easy to shut it down and make some different turn shapes. Once u get the balance right those tips just disappear which makes for some fun in tight spots. Here are some crappy comparison photos.

Rocker profile seems pretty different. I got mine from Keith for $500 in the parking lot after showing him around Bridger bowl. Beautiful skis. He was stoked on Bridger and you could tell the guy loves to ski. I think he was disappointed I was skiing my FRS on a hard snow day though[emoji13]

Heavy core, #5 Rx in 189 were phenomenal skis. I keep wanting to build up a new pair every spring for the past few years, but I haven't had the cash flow to make it happen.

They had great edge hold and great all mountain prowess for their width. Best for off piste in any condition, but good on piste too if you like long turns ( I think you do ). The long turn radius and almost pintail made them great in Sierra Cement, and they handled crappy, refrozen snow confidently. Loose enough to be fun in bumps or trees. The defining characteristic was versatility for me, and they didn't just do decently everywhere, they performed well everywhere.

My pair practically became a daily driver for Tahoe 4-5 years ago. While different in a lot of ways, I rank the heavy core Rx I had about as high as I rank a Moment Wildcat in terms of overall impression and versatility. Both those skis have similar widths and radius, and get 10/10 for those categories from me.

I haven't skied the lighter cores in a Praxis ski yet, so I cannot say exactly how the stock Rx would compare. The 189 stock Rx weighs around 2080g/ski. I'd think for myself that would be a phenomenal 50/50 ski, along the lines of a more edgey On3p Steeple 112 that can handle anything in the backcountry or resort. If I had the cash I'd buy a stock pair just for that and to support Keith, but I'm absolutely broke and I don't tour at all.

For people with more finesse than I, or under 200lbs, I bet the stock layup is still great as a resort only ski.

Being a long time Lhasa lover and having lightly paid attention to that question, I think the answer is yes.

    Haven't skis the GPOs myself.

Not really. The GPO has a more forward mount, is looser, not by much due to the new Lhasa tail rocker I talked keith into adding, not as planted on edge. The Dstar Mpro 108, it’s actually 110 is more like the Lhasa.
The GPO is a great ski but I preferred it -2. It still wanted a more centered stance, which I was fine with. It goes through chop well, not as scalpel like as the Lhasa. The Lhasa floated better, felt more precise in a drift for me.

Been skiing the RX for 9 seasons.

Don't think there's anything particularly special about the shape, it's just straight forward and works well for a lot of situations. For a western DD I could sell all of my other skis and keep the RX. It's got that large shovel out front coupled with a lot of tip rocker that planes very well for me. The rocker profile isn't anything crazy, it starts out very gradually and ramps up closer to the tip. There's a small upturn in the tail that's just enough to keep things loose for tight spots. For me the long radius is what rounds them out into the do it all ski - never have to worry about hooking a tip in junk snow. Can open things up pretty well, as with all of the Praxis skis I own the flex profile is great. My skiing has evolved a lot in the last 9 years and I wouldn't mind the flex being a little bit stiffer than the stock #4, though that may just be my pair getting a little tired with somewhere in the ballpark of 150 days on them.

Thank you, velo and east or bust.

Should I get a pair they'd never see groomed snow or do a short turn.

I think so. I got a pair of 192cm heavy core GPOs to replace the Lhasa. Have a couple seasons on them and am loving them. I’m mounted at -1cm from recommended.

I'm so pumped to get my Mind Sticks on snow. I grabbed the 190, which looks like a lot of ski, but I wanted a bump in stability and speed limit in soft snow over my shorter skis.

FWIW, I have 184 BC 120's with Shifts as my touring ski, also.

I had an email conversation with Keith about a Lhasa fat replacement and he thought the rx was more similar to the Lhasa than the gpo.

I’m sure buried in many pages on here but…nylon vs veneer tops? Any noticeable differences in performance?

Thoughts on the FRD/Freeride mount? Currently mounted on the line, need to change bindings, hole conflicts will mean going +1 or -2. I know people tend to go back from Keith's lines but the FRDs have a more traditional mount line (-9cm) - would going +1 be better than moving 2cm back? 184 #4 veneers if it matters.

180 BCs arrived. Maple top sheet, Tsunami graphics.

    Any thoughts on mount point?

I'm thinking of mounting the BCs on the line or maybe -.5 (so, -8 or -8.5 from center). I like my GPOs at -1 to -1.5.

    BC: Recommended mount point @ -8, tip/tail taper 30/17
    GPO: Recommended mount point @ -7, tip/tail taper 34/20

    Nice addition Thom!
My gpo's are at -1. I had my bc and yeti on the dimple. Zero issues for me there

Very happy on the line with my 180 BCs, my only non-tele setup.

Enjoy! Always wanted to try the GPO. If I buy another Praxis, it would be either a light touring GPO build or the SND I think. “if”, lol…..

I just hope that I get to spend the rest of my ski days trying more of their designs. 🤞

Also mounted my BCs on the line, following Grinch's recommendation. Really like them there. Been considering getting a pair of HH BCs for inbounds duty, and keep my current UL BCs for touring only.

On a related note, are you going to post a picture of your skis or what? Sounds like they have a cool look

Thanks. I've been a bit swamped as of late, but plan on mounting them next week as well as doing a photo shoot ;-)

I figured folks have seen enough veneer, Tsunami top sheets and didn't perceive the urgency.

I can easily see either a BC in either Enduro or HH for inbounds being very cool.
