Is this all just media hype? It wasnt even supposed to end until tomorrow, shouldn’t everyone still be well stocked and have everything they need for at least another day or two? I guess I’ve never experienced .6 inches of rain in a dried out lake bed before….

It is currently been raining steady here in Washoe county and it looks to all be headed right to the playa area
hope this burner karma doesnt fuck up the hot air balloon races next WE just kidding
I do feel bad for the renters that have to clean the vehicles of the mud
The car washes should be an interesting place (major shitshow) this week

The issue is how will they get thousands of heavy RVs and trailers back to solid roads. How many of those do ya think have 4 wheel drive and AT tires? It could be days until the ground firms up enough for those folks to get out.

This morning the live cam was still panning across the muddy mess that is BRC but since the avalanche of negative publicity started, the cam has been fixed on the Temple and Man...coincidentally the one place that doesn't look like a complete goatfuck.

We left on Wednesday and missed the rain. Rest of our camp is holding up well based on the limited reports I’ve gotten. People still partying, staying close in the neighborhoods. If it rains again today will be a few more days before the exodus shitshow starts. Our camp is next to the portos so that’s going to be interesting.

Just got a post from the playa that they staged pumper trucks next to the porta potties in advance so they could be cleared in a mud stuck situation.
