yeah, was workin’ teh dynastar warehouse shipping and receiving in williston after snowmakin’ at the bush ended fer teh season when the assaults and the coupe du monde sl & gs came out.

seems somehow a whole fresh bunch of them new skis got sent off to teh paradise deli instead of wherever they actually headed…

cat almost got out of the bag when a bunch of ‘em was seen out rippin’ teh sweet spring bumps on upper fis before their retail release dates… the attempted cover story of “we’s teh demo team” was sloppy at best, yet apparently sufficient.

    good times.

OK, ok. I stand absofreakinglutely corrected. Thanks for the Samurai stoke!!!

I love these little things so much. It's a damn shame that we won't ever have anything like that in the US again. Might have to smuggle in a Jimny someday. I DO have connections on the other side of the border. Hmmmm........

m27 makes a heckuvan argument for the Tracker! I actually saw a couple of early 00's 5speeds with removable hardtop but to get under $10k you lose the awd which, IMO, neuters them. The reality is I'm probably just entertaining myself looking at them and will end up with something that Fits better but I do appreciate the simplicity, real 4WD and a few other things but they're probably not the greatest road warrior rig for 9 months of the year.

Saw a number of those in the airport parking lot in Iceland. Perhaps we're not Viking enough?

If anyone is hellbent on solidifying their minivan street cred, take a look at this museum piece from 1993:

A fucking longtail Aerostar with 48k on the clock.

Kudos to the seller for taking the showroom pics in front of a clearly abandoned shopping mall from the early 90s just to keep everything period-correct.

Amazing. Not sure WHO would keep an Aerostar perfectly mint for 30 years, but I salute them nevertheless. Respect. We had one when I was a kid and I loved how the rear rows would fold flat to make a bed. Awesome for road trips back in the day when safety was secondary. Was a solid, reliable vehicle. Then my parents felt the need to "upgrade" to a loaded Caravan which broke down about every other day. Biggest POS ever. EVERYTHING broke on that thing. I'm still scared of Dodges to this day all this time later thanks to that pile. We got stranded I don't know how many times. Always on the hottest of days, in the middle of nowhere. That had to suck for my parents. Got kids in the back, no cell phones back then. F U, 1980s Chrysler!!! Haha

Nice. A friends family had an aerostar like that early 2000s. It became our Whistler trip vehicle. You could roll 5 downhill bikes right in, and comfortably seat 5 riders.

Wifey wanted to fit in with the not-yet-soccer-mom crowd and trade in our '89 740GL wagon with a 5MT for a 93 Grand Caravan. I sold my Honda Prelude and kept the wagon. She got what she wanted, a loaded Grand Caravan. Absolute POS; 2nd worst car we ever owned. Went back to Chrysler under the Lemon Law. In Tennessee, the manufacturer had to replace the car with another of equal or greater value so we got a 96 Grand Caravan which turned out to be the 1st worst car we ever owned. Shortly after, we had moved to North Cackalacky and the Lemon Law there said they had to give us our money back. We ended up with a Suburban which wasn't great but at least it didn't break down or have the door fly open every time you went around a corner. I will never own a Chrysler product.

Bobby's used car lot and Free Carfax

Only a matter of time before MCSan chimed in.

On another note - have a customer who’s junking a minivan - thought of gravity - sent this message to him last night -

2009 chrysler town and country. Needs engine mounts, the dash lights up like a Christmas tree, the tires lose pressure, and it only starts when it feels like it which is less and less. Somwthing is wrong with the front end again (ball joint or sway bar) and I think it's leaking power steering fluid again

From a friend he's getting rid of this truck $500

    He didn’t bite ….

Who cares about cupholders when you are rallying the fuck out of the sweet, sweet "jeep" (used in the generic sense of the word as applied to a small, nimble 4x4 vehicle such as the old school Jeep)!!!

Hahaha. It's true!!! I might've gotten skunked on the first one, but at least the second one was intentional. Getting ready to sell the S60 as I parlay some tidy profits into my next acquisition. Will fill you all in after I successfully close the deal. Booking my airline ticket today. Road trip coming up!

That's pretty bad. Guess I'm not the only one with a touch of Chrysler PTSD. Haha. Some deep-seated scars there.
