I see a lot of patients from the local jail for various complaints (men and women), some are in jail for pedophilia, sex with minors, many others have quite a bit of sexual abuse history, PTSD, and resultant polysubstance drug abuse, Hep C. It's kind of a bummer, you know?

Hard to see it celebrated by adults here. That's my take.

So, just for giggles, what if a public grade school teacher was a well behaved/not predatory heterosexual AMAB pre-op trans woman? Public funds, public school. Should parents have the right to opt out of that classroom? Should they be notified in advance of the school year beginning that the teacher was what she was? On what basis? How would you feel about some parents' objections that their children shouldn't be 'exposed' to said alternative lifestyle?

Home school and private school used to be about shielding the kid from the other kids using drugs, listening to wild music, etc.. Now I'd wager it's 95% religious homophobia. The other 5% is people who can't afford a good privates school but have other legit connections to better teachers i.e. mom and dad or other relatives are really good teachers themselves..

Not once did I ever state or imply drag as being a homosexual trait. Not once. I did imply that adult teachers should probably not have 6 year old kids on their laps. I used a drag teacher with a kid on his lap as a comparator to a women who lost her job for activities outside of school. I found it ironic.

I had no issues with our children from Pre-K through grade school sitting on a trusted adult's lap ... be it a background checked mall Santa or a background checked school teacher. It's the random church folks (not background checked) that you might have to worry about..

Goddam, I wish y'all would stop accusing Trackhead of projection or having been abused as a child or whatever. Disagree with him, fine, argue with him, fine, but stop with that childish BS.

I happen to not agree with him, my brother is a preschool teacher, an exceptional one, and I could not imagine a teacher of small children not providing love and affection to the kids in their charge. Older ages it might be inappropriate, but the ages of kids going to "story time"? Those kids need love, and that includes physical touch. Appropriate touch, sure, but it's not all hands off. Drag story time is the same as clowns, and I don't have a problem with it and don't think it's pushing an agenda. I do think it's BS to discuss drag story time and in the same post discuss things like pedophilia/rape, and connect the two directly or indirectly. But thinking it's BS and saying that the person posting that must be "projecting" or must have been sexually abused or whatever are two entirely different things.
