I rebuilt my Krampus with the Fox 34, Ibis wheels, and 12s XT that came on my Ripley. Then I put Codes (from Frorider) on it and have been having a lot of fun. Hardtails are just great for a lot of trails!

Spent too much on but still waaay less than msrp on a used Geometron G1 frame. Thing is burly as hell, and is making me bi(Crown)-curious. I'm going to run a 170mm Mezzer pro on it for now, but in the future I might try to get a dual-crown fork for it, possibly a Dorado expert with IRT upgrade

    What have you bought/upgraded today.

Just mounted some Pirelli Cinturato M’s 700x45, on my gravel bike. They are closer to 47 on these hookless rims, they look badass! The S-Works Pathfinder’s are fast and pretty grippy, but we are having a wet summer and I’m doing some events with a lot of class 4-6 roads coming up. These were the easiest tubeless setup I’ve ever done. Floor pump, no problem.

I think I just bought a lightly used Yeti SB115 Turq T2 with full X01/Fox Factory build on eBay.

I'll believe it when it shows up though. Price seems way too low--large seller was running a 30% off "tour de france" promotion and I'm half expecting them to cancel and say that was a mistake and the 30% wasn't supposed to apply to complete bikes. Pinkbike prices are all way higher and even the one byates1 has for sale here costs more for a T1 build. Heck, there are pinkbike sellers asking for more for just the frameset.

Sweet score if it is true! I've been nosing around looking at SB100 frames and there definitely seems to be some deals out there for the taking. Guess the venn diagram of people who want Yetis and people who want every so slightly dated downcountry bikes doesn't have much overlap.

Got a tracking number so I guess it is legit.

Yeah, the geo seems a little funny for a 2022 model year bike, but I think it will ride just fine.

Demoed a canyon lux trail a few weeks ago which has a similar head tube angle and it did ok on the kind of terrain I plan to ride the sb115 on, but felt a little too racey with the flex stay rear and stepcast remote lockout fork that I felt like I was overpowering on every turn (and I’m not a fork snob…The rockshox recon silver on my hardtail works fine).

Pulled the trigger on some Magura MT7’s. They have 20% off all items for awhile and although I was Hayes curious the deal was too good to pass up. Dreading the install.

I’ve had terrible luck with bleeding magura’s. Although I think the last set I tried had a bad lever from a crash so perhaps was introducing air into the system. So here is hoping!

When I first saw that olive green color for the Lyrik, I was trying to figure out what bikes it'd look good on. Now I know.

I opted out of the transmission build for the ly yr build at 35% off. I don't recall seeing a new SC bike marked down that much. Feels like a buyer's market is upon us with bikes. Which is good, but not good. SC just had some layoffs at their corporate [emoji107]

Finally got around to installing this Silca bar tape after unplanned mountain bike maintenance/repairs took up all my mechanic time recently.

No issues with it. Didn’t use cheater strips. Not the easiest tape I’ve used, but not especially difficult. The stretch is a bit stiff, so you have to pull it a bit harder to get it to sit flat around bends, but nothing crazy, and it doesn’t seem particularly delicate.

Haven’t used Lizard Skins before, so can’t compare directly.

. Hopefully it's just the sales strong arm projection morons that gave shit and wouldn't take no for an answer when the smart guy asked the real questions. Fuckers just got sick of saying sorry for the delay and wanted their jobs to be less stressful.
