Saku is a great beer in the summer. Sadly they stopped selling it here. Goes down like water with a full beer taste.
    It's from Estonia.

Liking the Warsteiner and Bittenburger pilsners lately. The first for cold and wet the second one when I want a little more flavor. Is it just me or should it really be called Wassersteiner?

    Modelo is good beer!

Give me an ice cold Modelo, Pacifico, or Tecate after scalping the lawn and I'm muy contento.

Me too. Oddly, I don't really like Corona, though it should be about the same - it just always tastes skunky.

It's because they use those dumb clear bottles. There's some reaction between the hops and sunlight that causes beer to skunk.

I went to Germany when I was 17 and the family I stayed with, well he musta been my long lost Uncle Buzz. He drank Warsteiner like I’ve drank Bud Light. Needless to say I grew quite fond of Warsteiner and still enjoy it on occasion.

Modelo and Corona in a can are always in the garage fridge during summer.

An ice cold longneck of Pacifico on a hot summer day is everything that is right with the world.

I also went to Germany when I was 17. I developed a fondness for altbisr and especially sticke alt. I can't speak German to save my life though.

The funny part is my buddies and I developed a passionate hatred for Warsteiner. It was on tap where we worked and they always tried to give it to us for our shift beer. We didn't like it because, lets face it, it doesn't have a strong flavor and not a lot of alcohol. This was 1995 in VT. Before the hop bomb IPA nonsense ruined everything. My go to was Long Trail.

corona tastes bad. Modelo far superior. No contest. My local watering hole Postdoc makes a rice lager. Really really good if you can get your hands on it.

Modelo or Pacifico for sure. Corona is gross, every time. Best summer beer I've had is Steigl Radler.

Here on the east coast, I'm partial to Schilling Alexandr Czech-style pilsner. Have a keg on tap right now.

I was living in Germany (Bavaria) when the wall came down and we were pretty close to Pilzn. Developed a real taste for that style beer.

If you like Weisse Bier, try this summer drink. So nice.

    https://www.diffordsguide.com/cockta...9/weissen-sour

    Another version:
    2 oz. bourbon
    3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
    1/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
    Barspoon of orange marmalade
    2 dashes orange bitters
    2 oz. white ale
    Tools: shaker, strainer
    Glass: highball
    Garnish: lemon twist

Combine ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish.

Corona Familiar is quite good, on par with Pacifico, Modelo, Victoria. Corona Extra tastes terrible

Schilling in Littleton NH right? Their beers are incredible. What a gem. I fell in love with the Vorhe 'franconian zwickelbier'. Really really top shelf beers.

Someone else mentioned this one in another beer thread. It’s a very tasty and hoppy light beer that I’m really enjoying now that it’s nice and hot outside.
