Best summer beer?

I find that I prefer the breweries that call it Weißbier. For some reason Weizenbier seems different. Even though they are supposed to be synonymous. I don't like Belgian Witbier or Berliner Wießbier.

I prefer it filtered, so no hefe for me. I really have not found any US brewed Hefeweizen that I'll tolerate, much less enjoy.

I also went to Germany when I was 17. I developed a fondness for altbisr and especially sticke alt. I can't speak German to save my life though.

As mentioned before, the Stiegl Radler grapefruit is an awesome summer beer. However, I grabbed a pack of their raspberry by accident and I cannot recommend. Shit tastes like cough syrup and not the good stuff with codeine in it.

You can't go wrong with a pFriem lager or pilsner.

Why can't that they put it in a brown bottle??? Cans have BPA and or who knows what in the in the lining. Brown glass stops more UV than clear or green.

you should try the Hefe made by Paradox Brewery. i think they do a really good job at not fucking up the beers with extraneous bullshit...

Damn. I have a soft spot for old style from my midwest roots. Probably 15yrs back one of the distributors in Bozeman had old style but it didn't last long.
