Was just wondering about this today. According to the website, it extends to all terrain in the ski area boundary, including the side country/back bowls. Kind of BS to include the far out bowls that will not be around the construction.

I dont think they would know or care if you were out past the cleaver. They have to post stuff like this because of idiots... like the idiots who played chicken with pisten bullies at West and got that uphill shut down too.

That's what I was thinking as well. No way they would even know if you were out there. Easier to just say there's nothing than trying to explain where you are good to go. You know someone is going to go to the top and ski down Internationale right by the construction.

I'm actually excited for the new Sessel chair. I think it's going to move a decent amount of lesson traffic away from Armstrong on Saturdays. It will make the entire bottom of the hill more accessible.

As a patroller at another hill once said to me: " dont be stupid, but sometimes its better to ask forgiveness than permission".

I am optimistic about the lift expansions. I opted for a Remedy Pass next year because the overcrowding and lines made it so i didnt want to ski on the days im blacked out for anyways. I think that anything to increase uphill capacity will be a good thing for Alpental as the number of users is already being maxed out by the limited parking. Id be very against additional parking, but i think more and better uphill capacity is a good thing.

Last year I did Remedy plus Ikon (had planned trips to Utah). It was perfect for me. I only used the Ikon for days I was blacked out and used 4 of the days. Got in plenty of nights and midweek with it.

Anyone hitting Central tomorrow for closing weekend? Thinking of heading up for a couple hours of screwing around with the kids.

This ain’t corn, it’s hot paste.

Steep areas are fun and slashy. May try again tomorrow as well.

Today is better. About 20 degrees cooler and partly cloudy, zero lines. Never seen so many shirtless skiers/boarders than yesterday, unfortunately they were all males.

The flats still suck ass, pretty much have to straight line from halfway down the bumps to keep speed.

In other news, anyone want to buy a rotting pile of wood @ 2800' and/or know good places to donate a bunch of used ski & snowboard equipment? I'm done making turns in the PNW, heck I might be done making 'em forever
What's the going rate for a mouth like yours? 2 packs of smokes and a dessert ?
