I think the breakfast burrito is the only thing I've ever had from Beto's. Maybe that's where EWG went wrong?

Look, I've gone wrong plenty. However, as for ordering, I thought my chimichanga and carne asada fries orders were inspired. I just thought it was drunk food, as previously mentioned, which I get the value of.

I should have tried the breakfast burrito the next morning though.

Not all Betos are created the same, also. Coulda just been to one of the not-so-good ones

I actually liked Vosen's rolls, but they're too far away. I used to live near the Ballpark, but I moved to Sandy.

I would also go to Stone Ground's store that they run out of their office and it was awesome and so cheap. But again, too far now.

Central 9th definitely good. One of their founders is a big BC skier and I sold him bindings one time at his place, he gave me some foccacia. I don't know what the sound system comment means, but that's a great line haha.

I would bake, but I live in an apartment. My gear allocation in my living space is already fully taken up by ski gear, unfortunately...

Lone Pine and JMed's woman seem like the best bets, thanks everyone!

Going to be on vacation in Park City for a week, starting this coming weekend. Will visit the beer spot mentioned a few days ago… any other tips/recommendations for a washed-up, middle-aged internet skier would be much appreciated. Prost!

    We're all degenerates here

And, while there is a hierarchy to Betos (with Alberto's at the top of the list), it is quintessential salt lake drunk food.

Per the thread name - may not get a lot of recs as many of us live in SL valley and avoid PC during peak times. Hopefully someone chimes in with ideas other than some of the obvious stalwarts/classics - Wasatch Brew Pub, Squatter's Roadhouse, High West, Red Rock Redstone, etc. Can generally recommend 710 Bodega, Riverhorse, ChiMayo and Shabu but things are always in flux, so would be great to get some fresh reviews...

    SLC Eats

I agree with the earlier post, Offset is the best brewery in park city by far, and quickly challenging for best in the state. I don’t go towards Main Street to eat too often, but my two favorites are probably Nosh and Tupelo.

For the more general thread, Leonardo’s in kimball has tasty tacos.

I really don't get the hype around Harmons bakery. Its very mediocre, and the Holladay one is often out of many things. I genuinely prefer the Winco bakery, which makes surprisingly good sourdough rounds at half the price

What was the coffee shop with the raised relief map of the Wasatch near the front door, I think? I remember getting good breakie eats there.

    European Tastees has good bread.

I dig Winco sourdough as well and generally feel that Harmons is just an overpriced grocery store, like more expensive than WholeFoods over priced.

Wasatch Brew Pub, Squatter's and Red Rock are all the same restaurants, more or less.... their menus were put together by the same chiefs. One is worth a visit and for me it would be Red Rocks because they have the best beer of those 3 in my opinion. I agree that Offset has the best beer in PC.

El Chubasco's is really good "cheap" fast mexican in PC. I get a bare burrito and use the salsa bar to smother it.

The other restaurants Fraueln mentioned are great (though I haven't been to 710 Bodega). Ghidotti's has a great value take-home family meal that feeds 2-4 depending.

The liquor store in PC near the post office and "the market" grocery store has refrigerated beer, one of the few stores in the state with refrigeration.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Still good? I had chubbys once or twice this summer and left underwhelmed. I feel like quality has gone downhill. Still a great quick option after a good ride or ski, but hoping i just hit it on an off day.
I've heard good things about Leonards Tacos in Kimball, need to make a trek back up there soon.

there's also a new pretty bird hot chicken location up there, and I enjoyed Nosh as well.
Is Sammy's Bistro live up to the yelp reviews/local love? I always see it, have had one meal there which I enjoyed, its just never something we think about if we're driving up there.

I tried it a few times in the past year and was also disappointed. Felt very average, didn't get the hype at all. My gf loved it though, and talks about going back every time we're in the area.

I honestly haven't been to chub's in a couple of years. so maybe I shouldn't recommend it. This thread makes me realize the wife and i don't eat out very often (once or twice a week -- and it's usually take out)

Anyone know whatever happened to Anaya's plans to reopen in Kimball Jct? Those were some good fuckin' tacos. The best cheap eats in PC sacrificed on the altar of gentrification.

We had a pretty good post-ride lunch at Sammy's Bistro (Kimball Jct location) last summer.

RIP anayas. That might be what Leonards is in Kimball, looks like a new market/taqueria.

I went when they first opened in Ogden and wasn't impressed. Second-rate knockoff of Pretty Bird (and who the fuck puts ketchup on a chicken sandwich!!?)

Same. My sandwich was soggy and I haven’t been back. The Ogden food scene is….not good.

Is TableTwentyFive any good or just over sauced and overpriced American?

The last time we were that way we stopped at Weller’s Bistro in Layton because we didn’t see anything we liked in Ogden. Not sure I would go back, although from the wait on a week night it seems like a popular spot.

And since we were talking about grocery stores, does anyone know where to get fresh chile de arbol? I haven’t seen any the last two times I went into Rancho on 33 S.
