Found firm groomers and lots of heavy deep snow off trail today up on Hwy 2. Hoping for another refresh tonight and headed back for more tomorrow. Resort was “parked out” but never stood in more than a five minute line. Weird.

PNW 2022/2023 Season - It's Triple Dip La Niña Time!

The snow at Mission last afternoon was interesting. Decent until a couple hundred feet above the lot. Lots of tourists. The snow up high was buttery but you had to constantly scrape the rime off your goggles down to Midway. Off piste was a mix of smooth rime crust with spots of creamy wind blown and nice shit fuck conditions as you got lower towards the lot.

Great conditions for testing out my 188 HSL AM R99. Looks like 5-7” overnight and I’m going to take them back out to see how they do in fresh and crud

The 5" over night was heavy in town....heavy up at MR?

Went with the el cheapo high2 pass, so no inbounds for me. Probably tour in the high2 vicinity.

Go skiing at Mission. Wind blown and good body keeping you off the crust down low. Knee deep in spots

ID:	440556. Yeah not bad at Mission. Wish we could have got out to Central Park today but Todd made his first turns in Bowl 5. Hit Chair 4 lift line as well as Chair 3 lift line. And (he loves sentences that start with AND) really his first time using poles.

It seems like it has been a while since I’ve been out to Central Park. Today would have been the day.

AND Todd was already flipping both of us the bird inside his mittens for taking him out to bowl five. Although now he is secretly being proud of himself. Glad somebody got out there though. It’s like the ratio of coverage to sun exposure just hasn’t been clicking for a few seasons. At least it’s open.

Went to the top of mt crumpet and skied some trees. Decent up top, some tree bombs and crustiness; very wet heavy down low on the exit. The beer fairy left a couple 16 oz ers on the bumper, thanks to whomever that was.

I cannot keep up with this code names. Is there a new baked goods themed set for 2023? Did I miss a memo?

PNW 2022/2023 Season - It's Triple Dip La Niña Time!

Skied Stevens today. Lots of black ice on the way up made for an interesting drive. Parked before 8:00 and got a great spot. Lifts were running before 9 am which was nice. Busy day but longest line was only about 10-minutes. Lots of edge-able groomers and soft leftovers off trail. The Stevens Pass cloud hung over Cowboy mountain and made upper mountain skiing and visibility a challenge. But the vibe was good and so much better than last year’s debacle. Hit the Gold Bar-Sultan backup on the way home which added 20-30 minutes to the drive, but otherwise a pretty decent experience especially for a holiday.

Been very pleased with the Epic experience so far. Fingers crossed the trend continues. 🤞

"I'll take Ikonic CM Chutes for $200, Alex."

Edit: Oh you douche! You know some people don't know where that is. Now it will be written up in the New York Times.

Need to steal some of these from Mt Baker:

Had a fun day at mission Saturday . Assuming that was a busy day by mission standards it’s a breath of fresh air for us on the west side . Got to ski bomber cliffs and windy ridge for the first time . Overall good soft conditions . Found some challenging wind affected conditions off the windy ridge
