Pink snow and private jets: Ski workers spill on rich guests’ requests
    https://wapo.st/3vly7HT

It’s sort of amusing, but it’s also sort of aggravating.

Tolman’s most memorable request came from a Stein Eriksen regular who wanted to have Deer Valley blow pink snow out of snowmakers while he and his wife took a nighttime chairlift ride for a mountaintop dinner and private evening ski session.

LOL indeed. If the first comparable product the googles bring up is the one you are referring to, they wouldn’t last a week cruising PNW timber. They are not even caulked.
But somehow I don’t think that’s their intended market.

You all know the old truth about losing 10mm sockets all the time. How they always end up vanishing into the same vortex that left socks mysteriously get sucked into. So yesterday, I started working on project busted Volvo #2, I started removing the fender liner (w/ a 10mm socket of course), and "clink!" Down to the ground drops a 10mm socket. I was confused for a second when I thought it was mine, but mine was still firmly on the ratchet. Said "Snap On", so most likely belonged to a mechanic. Anyway, now I got a sweet new Snap On 10mm socket and I got a serious chuckle out of it.

You also probably fixed a mystery rattle.

Haha. Quite possibly. It was definitely in a place that the socket would have been irretrievable and downright impossible to see without removing said liner. I can see how it got lost where it did. I wonder if some of MY tools are stuck somewhere deep in cars past. Hmmm......

Didn't think these would be worth a shit but I've been using one daily for a few months with great success. 9 out of 10 times it is what I need. Prevents the 10mm from running away so much.

Amazingly, they’re sold out. But they make White’s/Nick’s look inexpensive.

The joke will be on you next time you go to work on the car and both of those sockets are nowhere to be found

Not a problem. They will both be in the same place he found the other one. He has answered his own original question.

As luck would have it, I misplaced a 10mm socket last night. I found it this morning after cleaning the garage and poking around under the hood were unsuccessful:

There it is, tucked in between the headlight and headlight bezel. Just had to pull the bezel off to get it.

I'm amused by moms on FB saying their 16 yo will clean your yard for $25/hr. And babysitters offering to watch your kids at $25/hr per kid.
