The Lower Wild Katz runs while everyone was waiting for Double Diamond were pretty nice, too. But yeah, the backside was tasty.

^They had their boards sitting at the front of the line up at Kehr's then audibled. Too hipster to be mags (not dentists). Guilty of standing in line waiting for DD to spin. Mediocre day at the high 2.

I absolutely would not go to anything else in Seattle (especially not Cripple Creek).

evo’s shop is pretty dialed and they treat you right. They’ve got $$ and overhead to do the right thing if something goes wrong. Lots of jongs in the customer mix tho

I think Ascent knows their shit too. ProSki North Bend is the classic, but it’s far out so I’m never out there. The one in Seattle is same name, different owners and apparently sucks.
    Apparently eh

Question, what is the problem with Cripple Creek? I've only been in once or twice but they seemed competent.

Chairs, bullwheels and small children amplified the shrieking of the wind.
    Ravens faltered mid-flight.
Old men daydreamed of hot soup, and a rub-and-tug in the gondola (solely for their cold feet).

Why are the ski areas open today? Why are they encouraging young, dumb, males to put others' lives in danger driving to the mountain to ski in shit conditions?

It's pretty deceptive at my house, too. I woke and thought things looked fine, but there's a thin layer of ice coating everything. It's a fucking skating rink out there.

I'm flying out tomorrow as well. I'm wondering how they are going to make up the 400+ flights that have been cancelled today. Expecting chaos.

This is my worry as well. Usually it’s kind of nice flying in Xmas eve, and way cheaper.

Are these the same resorts that don't require any avalanche training or gear to access the backcountry gates? Asking for a friend.

This is America, if I wanna to put myself and everyone else in danger on the road for some marginal turns at the golf course it's my rIgHT!

This is how the TGR bro brahs think. It's not safe to ski off the King without pack and avy gear but totally cool to drive up to the mountain on a ice rink, probably passing illegally the whole way so they get there 3 minutes faster.
