Beautiful day in the Wenatchee Mountains, exceptional snow quality. Snow pack remains touchy

Indeed.. And I have some things to pass along to you as well.

Just please, wash your elbow so the no odor thing continues.

They stepped up their grooming and arguably, best corduroy this year. That and with a few exceptions you had the runs to yourself. L.S. always congests a bit but over on 9, wide open fast laps.

But even still you won’t hear me talking someone out of bringing safety equipment. I love how my buddy Chad always has a rescue sled in his pack when we’re touring

I did roll up at noon to a teary ticket checker at Armstrong talking to security. Apparently some asshole chewed her out about the new RFID gates.

Improving for sure, our run over the humps, down the ramp to the bowl was sublime, as good as it ever gets. The debris pile at the bottom of the bowl gave us pause. 10-15’ deep with a lot of snow just waiting for a trigger above. Hope no one takes a ride this weekend

Pretty good considering. Ski-on almost all day. International only off of 2. One gate open (snake), caught rope drop on felsen and found -very- consolidated pow for a nice surprise. Low-laying pea soup rolled in about noon. Early season conditions in effect re: rocks and open hazards.

Interesting. I find that if you are hitting rocks at Alpy anywhere other than the entrance to nash that it is unusually thin conditions

Certain spots up there are more bare than others. It's a little more happen chance than normal I would say given the season total. Just gotta be a little heads-up. Good to hear it's holding up. The bowls is probably a bit fucked still though due to sun on Friday and the usual low down funnels and runnels.

Scraped a few sharks on the backsides of some giant moguls, which where obviously just snow covered boulders.

Thin cover in some spots but not too bad considering it’s not even winter yet, I’ll take it.

Did about 6 Nash laps and a few Armstrong and called it a day.

Snow at CM was vAriABle but mostly agreeable, and the weather was great until about 2pm.
Hopefully this next little stormette delivers, since the long range forecast isn't looking great at the moment.
