Eastcoast Roll Call TwoTwo/TwoThree A Slow Start to a Big Finish

    Looks fun exp-b

Got out Friday to Pats Peak for some turns. Snow was hard but air was warm and lifts were ski on. Was there once before at a race in 1980. Blown away by the quality of the infrastructure there; two chairs going although only skied the quad to the top. Two magic carpet’s going in their own sheltered pods with lessons at both

hmm how do you post photos from phone? Ok turn on app and works

Great to get out and snowmaking ponds are full throughout New England

MyChamplainValley has the nordic ski card back for this winter. No alpine card announced yet though.

Stowe was a shit show on Saturday. Forerunner went down early in the morning and it then took them 30-40 minutes to get the double running. Looks like the quad is down until Friday as well. Feel bad for the people who paid $30 to park

truly excellent and legit pow end-of-day yesterday at local hill.
hit snooze for an hour, woke up 2.5hrs later...decided nonethelesss to see what snow might fall to much reward.

initial response on first very blustery ride up was that i'd made the wrong call. dust on crust around 1pm, but the snow piled up fast and kept falling.

to make it an even better day ran into gonnif, who'd wisely sat out a bit, having arrived late in day as well.

last 2 hrs were joyful with ice nearly all gone.
    storm skiing is fun!
and looks like more to come...

Stratton was very good on Friday and maybe better today?

Legit 3" (sad how that sounds great, eh?) fell yesterday, mostly after the lifts closed. They didn't pummel the Spruce Trail and it was scary...3" of fluff on top of scraped smooth hockey rink ice. Goniff took a bad tumble on it and broke his glasses. He needs to go get checked for a concussion.

Other trails skied nice and got even better when the fog cleared out and you could see where the soft snow was.

Was there with my next door neighbor who admitted that he actually has a TGR account and goes by Lane Meyer. MMP made an appearance as did slatham who was technically "working" from the Ursa Chair.

Going back for more tomorrow. As Vt-F (and buckethead) is prone to say, skiing is fun!

Ha yes technically a long "coffee" break, just without the coffee. But it did wake me up! Wish I could have skied with you and the crew but I had 2 more quick runs and out. It was fun (except maybe Spruce).

Eyes on Friday, may Ullr bring the goods.....

I can pretty much ski anywhere west of Maine on Thursday although would rather not burn one of my 5 Killington days. Cannon/Loon are a stretch; I can make it happen but is it worth the drive? The resorts of SoVT are all actually pretty good right now.

Early season is a good time to get your balance dialed through the turn. Ice will reveal your slop.

Charles, wish I could join in at Sunday River. Maybe anothervtskibum pops up. He chases racer kids around the hill

And it’s looking like Maine could be the place this weekend. Hoping to see lots of pink in the snow map

Oh and the gaspesie is going to get hammered. 29” at the mines through tomorrow with another 20” in the forecast by the end of the next week. If anyone wants to know the shortcut for a day trip into Xalibu message me. Obviously going to be a bit before avy conditions settle
