Anyone using demo bindings on their 120? I have a new pair and was thinking about putting Griffon or Attack demos on them. Mostly because I am unsure on where I want to mount the bindings and figured I can play around with mount points

Other the weight any down side to putting a demo on this ski?

I did this exactly. Was pretty fun. I noticed a difference

The difference you felt. Was that from moving them forward/back or from the height of the binding?

Just scored a set of BENT CHET 120's with frame bindings for a screaming deal. They'll provide plenty of overlap in my quiver, but I'm stoked to see what they're about. Reading the stoke in this thread convinced me to pull the trigger.

Wanted always to try BC120 as a powder ski. Got recently the new 22/23 graphic model in 192 and mounted my Pivots at -3. Took them yesterday out on a perfect blower day.
This ski is tons of fun in the right conditions. It floats, it drifts, it carves, it slarves, whatever. It can make small turns at low speed in tight places or you can open up and go completely nuts in steep terrain. It lacks dampness for skiing really fast through chop but it’s still OK if the chop is soft and if you dial back the speed a bit. No problem on groomers on the way back to lifts as well - the BC120 are surprisingly stable riding the edges and aren’t holding back.
Wouldn’t take them out if you expect variable conditions. On powder days, though, they truly shine.

Forward/back. The difference I was referring to was moving the demo bindings fore/aft. The height I didnt notice when switching from Demo to Shifts believe it or not (expected to) because the demos are obviously taller

Yes, gives you something between 5.5 and 6.0 cm from true center. Ski feels pretty balanced at this mount and I’m not planning to land switch in pow.
115 mm brakes with Pivots fit just right, not much tolerance, though.

Anyone also been on the Armada JJ UL? I daily Line SFB 190cm and want something for deeper days. I ski the SFB on the recommended line which is somewhere around -2cm from center. Pretty much can’t decide between the Bent 120 and JJ UL. I unsuccessfully tried to demo both this season so I’ll be buying blind. They seem super similar on paper but the JJ UL seems to get way less press. Generally speaking the Bent seems slightly better regarded and is wider, but the JJ UL might be more similar to the SFB.

Intended use is: 60/40 resort/backcountry, deep days only, ski most often in CO, mounted on the line with Shifts. Being bombproof isn’t my biggest concern because they will likely not get a ton of days. My last powder skis lasted a decade.

Asked for -2cm from recommended. In reality, the boot center is at -1.5. Don’t think it matters. They felt really centered and balanced. Switch (that I barely can do) and falling leaf were fun AF.

Bent 120's arrived from Evo today. Stated weight is 1800g. Actual weight is 1930g. These will be a wide touring ski mounted with ATK FR, so I don't know--they might go back.

Seems like they have gradually made them heavier every year since they came out. 4 years ago they were around 1700g

Thinking possibly a pair of 2022 176cm BC 120s for my wife. Her 2016 Icelantic Maidens have seen tons of days. She’s at -7.5cm on those.

Is consensus still -2cm (eg -5cm) for non-spinny, non-switch, pow skiing? I assume yes. I have yet to ski my 110s and 120s.

Considering for a resort skinning board to replace a Pure Wailer 99 that is absolutely horrible in the firm EC resort world. Why you might ask? Because they're cheap and the topsheet looks cool, sounds like the construction is same as the 100 too so....

2015’s…Evo lists the 185 as 2190 grams. Not the light ones.

medium ones, the OG was another 300g per ski, new ones are like 1800-1700g
