    Lange XT3 model year changes

I just picked up a new pair of XT3 130's last night from my local shop and came to find they are the 21-22 model, not the 22-23 model I assumed I was getting, my mistake for not verifying.
Im going to go back and whine at the shop for charging me full price for boots I could find online on clearance for 50% what I paid for them (yes, I know the value of buying from my bootfitter), but 50% is a lot for boots I wont need to put any work into.
Before I go back I want to find out if Lange made any changes other than the obvious cosmetic between the 2 model years.
Searching here and online hasnt gotten me anything useful.

    thanks

Theyre all over the place online right now.
Im ok with having last years model as long as Im not missing out on some improvements, but Im having issues with paying $300 more for seemingly no reason.

Im coming off an OLD pair of RX130's (best boot on earth, fight me) and the XT3's feel close enough in the lower half of the boot. The upper half feels (is) shorter and is noticeably more upright. Am I going to hate this boot? I have some old spoilers I may play around with after putting some days on them.

Just picked up a pair of 2022's off evo for $449. Haven't received them yet. Current 2023 model is $849. Bootfitter at Surefoot told me no changes from 2022 to 2023 besides color. There could be a liner difference but i'm doing an intuition or some aftermarket liner so not concerned. Have heard some complaints on the walk mechanism, but that didn't change between years. I'm coming from Atomic Hawx XTD ultra. We will see how it goes....

No changes from what I know. I used some silicone lube on the walk mech and it seems to help it from icing and shitting up. Fail safe is flip the switch and use the toe of the other boot to kick the lug back into lock mode.

Glad it’s not just me. Thought going from rx130 to the green version of the XT would be plug and play, but it’s not. Does the thicker toe for the non-alpine sole make it more upright????

Are you going to use it for touring? Then it will be fine. If you are going to use it just for alpine lift service stuff find a new RX and be happy. The XT3 is fine, we sell a bunch of them to people that are "thinking of touring" and then never do. Once the "industry" figures out that people aren't actually touring in these hybrid boots we can return to alpine for alpine and touring for touring skiers will be better off.

My intent is to tour with them as well as ski the resort. I havent had a "one boot quiver" in years since the last time I tried it I hated the boots. I'm hoping boots have improved enough to keep me happy.
Im going to call my shop and speak openly about what I've found, how I feel taken advantage of regardless of them being nearly identical boots, and for either a discount to get close to the online price or Ill return them and buy online. I dont want to kill the only local bootfitter I trust, but this situation isnt ok with me.

I wont be surprised if I end up with a pair of XT3 tours (or similar) and trusty RX130s in the end, but I really want to pair down the arsenal to instead of 32 pairs of skis and 3 pairs of boots.

there are better boots then the xt3 tour pro. I like my xt3 a lot. I did change to din soles on them. I won’t ski gripwalk. They are soft feeling on the toe interface. My xt3 tour pro is good now with the GFT.
