Gnarly! Did he need supplemental oxygen to ski there?

1/2 way down the hospital hallway I'll hear this about 2-4 x a month with a patient transport in progress

''wow, this bed is hard to turn'' grunt/silent pause... "oh, the steering lever is not on" click "that's better"

Where is there a climber's bar? I can't think of many. The only place I could think of is the Bucksnort Saloon in Pine, CO. Or maybe a little bar we found in Almo, ID.

I'm sure they exist. There was a little hostel with a bar/restaurant at the base of Mt Cook that we got shitfaced at once. Hope I wasn't spewing anything about my greatness there. haha

“My all seasons are as good as winter tires in the snow”. Many gapers in a thread on TGR.

“I need winter tires to drive in snow because I’m a shitty gaper driver from central WA who only skis groomers.” Heard on the lift today.

Unfortunately is has been closed by JeffCo due to a septic leaking into the creek.

If I won the lottery I'd buy that place and finance it for the next 100 years (last year it turned 100). One of my favorite bars in the state if not the world.

I had no idea it was closed. That sucks. Yes, that is a top 10 bar for me as well.

Krakauer has a funny bit about a climbers bar in Chamonix in "Eiger Dreams". Makes American bar liars look like amateurs.

Too much lying is bad for business…

Liars and the marina it is in are both closed and recently sold…

    https://www.easthamptonstar.com/vill...-has-new-owner

The new owner (Sam Gershowitz) owns the marina across from it (Sam’s Star Island)… he bought that marina when he was told he couldn’t moor his boat there. Time will tell what happens to Liars.
Because rich has nothing to do with money.

I haven't been out there in a long time. I used to work on a tilefish boat in Montauk so we would go to Salavars as it was right near the dock.
