Those are amazing animals, but obviously keep your distance. Have fun.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

This. I got stared down by one once at close range in my vehicle. It wasn't phased by a '79 Chevy van with no muffler. I'm guessing maybe it wasn't healthy? Because I pretty much needed hearing protection to drive the damn thing. How does a moose not react to that?!?!?

Got charged by an elk a few years back in GTNP and it was the most scared I’ve ever been. Would have much rather been that close to a bear

Ever hear a bull moose mating call? Sounds exactly like your un-mufflered van. He was somewhat confused by your lack of antlers, however.

Guessing you’d change your mind if you had been charged by a 600 pound bear looking for his next meal.

Maybe that’s the case. Not sure I love my chances either way. I’ve been that close to bears before but never in an aggressive way.

Same view at night. So many empty apartments/condos show this rampant building is likely attributable to wild money laundering

You mean unlike the guy cowering by his car in front of me? I was outside taking pictures until the moose started moving toward the road. That's when I knew it was time to return to the safety of my car.

No moose today but several elk.
