Come to find out that Jim Pepper was a Cree jazz musician, this is adapted from a peyote chant and briefly hit the charts at #70 in '69 or so it says in the comments.

Witchi Tai To is on regular rotation here. Jim Pepper’s is the go-to, but I like this (white guy) one too.

I like getting that chant stuck in my head for long solo hikes into fishin’ spots.
