The gate keeping/tone police trope is a classic way to dismiss people who don’t fit the traditional types of people in an industry. CG objectively has a very impressive resume, and objectively people want to hear what she has to say based on her following and sponsors. Nobody is telling you you have to listen, but nobody on this thread gets to say who “belongs” or is “worthy”

This seems like a bit of a reach. Look I admire CG for doing the Chuting Gallery and all of that but objectively she comes off as very preachy and sometimes has some real blind spots. The majority of skiers (especially skiers vs. people who ski sometimes) see this and it’s re-enforced by a lot of long-time Wasatch peeps. Whatever, I’m not a hater and don’t feel this way about most of the POW crew, but the idea that you can’t judge anything at all and it’s just a “you” problem is a little goofy.
