Some 90s hip hop to brighten your day:
I still call it The Jake.
I see hydraulic turtles.
I see hydraulic turtles.
I see hydraulic turtles.
I would be totally remiss if I didn’t mention the good Doctor.
I still call it The Jake.
Helmet, Quicksand, and Orange 9mm show is easily one of the top 3 I've been to. Don't remember much but what I do it was epic.
Dr. octagon (kool Keith) was a good show but he is pretty low energy
And just like that. Hydraulic fucking turtles. I knew when I woke up this morning that the day was not going to be quite right. I need to get wet. Good thing I don't do that kinda thing any more.
Nine Deuce Biatches..
This one's my favorite hip hop album ever.. Low End Theory is number two on my list..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
Handsome Boy Modeling School was so dope. Remember the sound bites from ‘Get a Life’ wothChris Elliott? “Look at this face” “I dunno, pale, pasty, psychotic?” “No it’s a drop dead gorgeous face” lol
“They made me take off my top”

If we're gonna wear uniforms, we should all wear somethin' different!
All those songs mazdarati just posted I hear on FM radio stations constantly. They are now classic popular rock.
There was some good comedy for sure. In Living Color gave SNL a run for its money at the time, IMO.
I have funny memories of ‘The State’ ‘Upright Citizens’ Brigade’ and ‘Kids in the Hall’ amongst others I’m forgetting.

Yeah definitely. ILC, Kids in the Hall, that Bob Odenkirk / David Cross show whatever it was called, Jon Stewart's original show on MTV - although Stewart clearly hadn't honed his online persona, his guests / bands were really good.
They just rebooted Kids in the Hall. I haven’t seen it yet but I definitely will.
One of their alumni, Dave Foley, went on to star in a fantastic TV comedy, News Radio. Him, Maura Tierney, Stephen Root (as crazy billionaire uncle Jimmy), Phil fucking Hartman, Khandi Alexander (whose “Rocket Fuel Malt Liquor episode with Hartman was fucking priceless), Andy Dick and pre-fruitloop Joe Rogan.
The Soup was also mandatory viewing in undergrad. Hilarious show. Greg Kinnear, Jon Henson, and Joel McHale killed it in recent years.
Letterman was still drinking, smoking and very funny. Conan on Late Night was a riot.
Kelly Kapowaki graduated from Bayside High and went to 90210 as the smoke show, dope smoking, Valerie Malone (aka Boobs Malone).
90s TV rocked.
I still call it The Jake.
Too much penis in the first episode of Kids in the Hall but pretty funny.

My wife said not enough penis. Musta been cold.
The Prodigy! The Fat of the Land came out around the time I first visited Amsterdam, which also seemed like a fitting trip in the 90’s.
I read the prodigy guy is now a local bar owner in his town
^^^
That image looks a lot like a scene from The Royal Tenenbaums, a most excellent movie.
Which made me remember one of the greatest movies of the 90s, and a top 10 favorite of mine, Rushmore.
Lead singer of The Prodigy died last year or two if I recall, no?
I still call it The Jake.
