A member of the group I rode up the gondy with this morning was also referring people skinning up the mountain as cross country skiers...then a girl in the group said, no they are "skinners" and she explained what an xc ski was. Then the first guy who was calling them cross country skiers said that (1) its pretty much the same thing (2) they use horse hairs to climb (3) just put them on your skis to get up the hill. The girl pointed out that they must have a special ski for it and started to talk about how she wants a split board. Annnnddd luckily that conversation started pretty close to the top terminal

Dude at Alta yesterday was driving his subie through the circle and around the parking lot with a parking cone stuck under the car. Which was funny. Then we realized he was wearing his helmet and goggles while he drove. Which was funnier.

Someone eventually flagged him down and let him know. Which was kinda disappointing.
