Sweet, next sled will get them. Seems like a no brainer tbh. I’m also tall and my knees/shins take a beating. The control when hugging the sled with your knees must be awesome too.

That Dupres snowboard is crazy. What do you even use that for? Big mountain pow or carving huge GS turns? Both?
What is the advantage of using ZipFits? They are quite expensive, is there are better performance that is worth the price tag?
I would try the Zipfit thread. But yes they are worth it, the warmth, heel hold, last 1000 days of skiing, easily can ad more cork after initial fit, at home fitting is very easy and possible, the liner is stiffer and more powerful in the boot. I’ll never go back.
Better fit then Intuitions. Stiffen a boot up too. Last forever, pretty much everyone who gets them keeps them until the stitching fails. They hold your foot better. So yes, I think they are worth it.

Recently moved back down to NM from WA so going through a major overhaul. Pretty happy with the lineup so far - looking to replace J114's with some 118's this summer and pick up a light touring setup for longer days.
Jeffrey 114 + STH 16 - Resort powder ski, have had these for years now and they're definitely my all time favorite ski.
Ranger 102 FR + Duke PT - New for this season, haven't clicked with a ski so instantly in a long time. These things are just too fun to put into words and a great heavier touring setup. Have a likely unwarranted trust issue with marker but the Dukes have been bomber and consistent from the get go.
Meridian 107 + Pivot 15 - Recent pickup on a crazy deal, should be such a rad Kachina/Ridge ski for when things get bumped up. Surprisingly strong flex pattern makes me stoked.
Some shuffling has happened. My Protest moved onto a place with deeper dumps, QST 85's acquired for $60 with near perfect bases, DW traveling setup acquired, and BMX's are kinda on permanent loan to me since my friend decided it was too much ski for him. Still need to put the Enforcers up for sale. Praxxis on the wall are just art.

TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.
nice TST. One of my favorite topsheets ever
On a two week trip and this is the travel quiver.
184 4FRNT Raven
182 ON3P Woodsman 102
Honestly, if I had to cut to two skis I think this would work. I am really loving the reverse camber in the backcountry.
The WNDR skis are my buddies. He raves about them.
I have the exact same 184cm Ravens with Duke PTs. They have been the only ski I’ve been on during this dry spell for the last 3-4 weeks. Reverse camber so good in shit snow off piste. And they rip groomers when put on edge. Prolly looking at a Ren, a Hoji, and a Raven in next year’s quiver.

Quiver got larger this week with a spoiler for 2023. I need to stay away from demo day deals.
Those 177 Kendo need a new home at this point but there's still a few days it finds use.
The Gen 3 are still the rock ski, but the Red has been re-aligned to the early season piste n'sidehit ski, when the goods haven't opened yet. The issue of overpowering it is not a problem when it isn't steep/tech/chopped up; the ski is fine and a lot more fun than titanals, I just need to be shorter/it needs to be longer.
M102 is still the DD, as it can do no wrong. Wildcat is Wildcat, it does Wildcat things.
Still trying to decipher the role of the new guy. It was very fun today, but it's probably not for when it hasn't snowed in 5 days.
The logical pair based on terrain and conditions: deathwish and 107ti.
The "Big Sky" pair: What you don't care about blowing an edge out on.
Was moving my skis around yesterday afternoon and realized I had not taken a quiver pic for this season.
184cm ON3P ASYM Billy Goats w/STH 16 - Best resort pow ski of all time imo. Not much else to say about that.
184cm ON3P Steeple 102s w/extra carbon w/P18s - So many good memories on these sticks. Probably have 275/300 days on them and they are still kicking. I mostly use them as low tide/spring slush skis at this point but god damn do they crush variable conditions.
186cm Rossi Sickle w/CAST - Current daily driver. I had a chance to try these a few years ago and finally got my hands on a minty pair last spring. Whatever turn you want they will make it. Charge, slarve, carve, spin, dust on crust, deep manky pow, ect... they will do it and do it well. Rocker/Flat/Rocker is the shit if the snow is 3D at all. I am officially a convert to the cult of Sickle. I just wish they were more durable. One season in the San Juans and they are already 1/4th ptex.
188cm Salomon QST 106 w/MTN - Current dedicated touring skis. I've never really fallen in love with them. I thought I'd like the heavy-ish ski with the lighter binding/boots combo but with the kind of variable shit we tour a lot here in the Juans I just haven't loved them. I'm looking at the WNDR Intention flat camber, Raven or BG tour 110 as a replacement for next season.
Not Pictured - 182cm Wagner's - Unmounted currently, but look like excellent spring touring skis. Belonged a friend who passed away last year. He beat them to shit, so I tuned them up really nice and have been waiting to get bindings to put on them. Hopefully I'll get that done before the spring really kicks off.
