Chatted with some shop folks this weekend who had played with the Tecnica boot last week. Sounds like it’s just under a kg in 26.5 and fits closer to the Fischer Transalp than the Zero G. But who knows.

It was overcast this morning so the light wasn't the best. I'm guessing the testers will get blasted tonight and return home w the covids tomorrow, but will see if I can get more pics.

yeah, and the tailored titanal frame update too. I would not be terribly surprised if these two changes also makes for a tweak (what radii and how they relate) to the 3d sidecut too, but can't tell from the photos. I think they look pretty nice - very clean.

These new boots make an appearance in Cody's latest 50 Project video too... possibly protos and/or with some Cody mods (e.g. beefier power strap).

hm, interesting question for sure. Carbon has apparently increased significantly in price due to covid, so the very carbon intensive Katanas (11 layers?) might be cost prohibitive to produce at some point. Hell, BMTs and MVWs might be cost prohibitive to manufacture too. Too bad if so as they are great skis.

Yea, the V-werx katana is back unchanged next year.

I was hoping for an update to be honest. Can't help but wonder how it would ski with a more modern mount. Not too modern though...-10 would do fine.

That has to be the heaviest ski to ever have "UL" in the name.

It is way lighter than the standard ones though, so I'm not sure what I was really expecting.

Yeah, guess these aren't going to be my deep day touring ski next year. Will probably have to hold out for the UUL or XUL

It's 135mm wide. Can't be that light. If you're going after something that wide lets not get too caught up in the efficiency game. Realistically your skins are coming in at 450-550g per ski at that length/width anyway.

Though my 192 Lotus 138 Pure 3s are lighter, so there's that.
