I wanted some alone time, so I went east to the farm country of Hyakima. It was deep, heavy and mostly alone.

Showed up for sloppy seconds at about 2 pm and got a run down Snake Dance. It was really deep and got nuked quickly…but was fun to ski it in such great conditions.

snakedance is over rated . Hilarious to get 3 down Nash while a group waited by the SD gate.

First - Norseman, I’m so sorry to hear you and your friends went through this, and that you are injured. Super glad you are here and alive, and hope you heal up and can get back out skiing this season.

Abraham - I always seem to run into you, but not today! Hope to catch you on hill soon. I was planning to ski tomorrow and Friday but it looks like Alpental is closed tomorrow. Are you getting back up this week?

Today was awesome. I missed the morning crowd and showed up at 12:30 and charged until 4pm. Still found pow in pockets at 3pm over by Elevator gate and beyond. I’ll be there Friday, hopefully, and it would be awesome to ski with people.

Btw… I reallllly want to go out the gates this year, I’ve never been out Nash or Elevator gates. I’m looking for people who would be willing to show me around when conditions consolidate.

Wildside was nice yesterday evening. I was certainly wishing for steeper and longer, but 3 feet of new was fantastic nonetheless!

I think I am getting the hang of this. In true visionary fashion, I predicted last night Snoqualmie would be closed today. Brilliant prediction eh? LOL. May the reset be good, and may the freezing level drop sooner than expected, temps to slowly fall after the freezing point is hit, and a nice foot plus of right side up goodness before the high pressure takes over...

And apparently Snoqualmie Pass is closed until Saturday! If people live on the pass they are in for a treat tomorrow if lifts open. Meanwhile I’m going to check out Tiger Mountain with my backcountry gear. Lol!

maximusj and I made it up for the afternoon shift yesterday, and on our first ride up Chair 2 we watched some guy do his tib/fib on the runout from Rollen. Could hear the celery snap from chair . We took it easy after that.

Spent the evening skiing every line off Triple 60, forgot how fun that area is.

Bring a snorkel. I live near the highway 18 entrance and raining sideways with a balmy 45 degrees.

Looks like the temperature has jumped within the last hour. Now, 32 degrees. From the CAM, still looks like snow. That's a bit later than they were "forecasting", so I guess that is good!

    Gnarly.
You're on tele gear, right? Saw two tele skiers but we were out of phase all night.

Kept an eye out as well but didn't see any of you until the run to the car when I almost literally ran into stradissimo. Fun night!

Yeah! I was the guy with brown pants, blue jacket, flailing arms. Fun seeing so many tele skiers out! Have been been on tele only so far this season, will see if that lasts I guess.

Yeah, I kept a lookout, but did not see you either. Hopefully next time it works out! (If not so damn good, I will wait at a lift and meet even! I'm historically bad with waiting...but skiing alone gets old!

The temp is very slowly dropping. Hopefully the higher elevations are seeing snow now! I like the look of what NWAC is saying: "The latest model runs have shifted these heavier bands southward increasingly toward Snoqualmie Pass. Both passes can expect in the range of 8-14" of snow above 4000 ft on Friday."

Hopefully not D on C Sunday!
