Long shot here, anyone have a 425 spring that will work on a DHX2, 230mm x 60mm?
Just scored the body, but no spring…

Nukeproof Superlight Enduro from Chain Reaction. Cheaper and lighter than SAR for most spring rates. But they seem a little out of spec compared to Rockshox. Rockshox 450 gave me 30% seated sag, Nukeproof 450 33.5%, so I bought a Nukeproof 475 which gives 30.5%. Could be that Rockshox rates are off but I'd trust them to get it right more than I do Nukeproof.

Good springs anyway. I have the Nukeproof 450 spare if you're interested (equivalent of a Rockshox 425 or just a little under), used a few rides while waiting for the 475 so can't return it. Would have to look into shipping.

Very cool frames. Probably my fave out of all the high pivots. I like how they shorten the chainstays to compensate for the growth of a highpivot cs when compressed. Nice customization options that i could pick a couple options they offer to really fit me well. Mullet with125mm headtube w 450 reach and the 400mm seatube wouldnt be everyones pick but that would be a really good fit for me that'd be hard to find otherwise.

Yup. The Pinkbike-review really hit me. Lots of traction, keeps momentum up, but still relatively nimble when going slower.

Should be super capable. I didnt know they provided their customization how they did it. Pretty smart and cost effective for them. Cant wait to hear how it rides for you

Blew apart a rim when a rock went between a couple spokes. Learned a couple things.

The Chris King hubs had spoiled me. They feel smoother and less resistant on the role than the ole Deore hub I had in the shed.

The only rim I could find in my obsolete 26" was a spank. Built up a new wheel and learned the old 25 mm xc Mavics I had on there were noodles. It made a big difference in the ride of the bike. Better when laying it down through a corner, worse when going through a rock garden. A bit shocking how much difference. I'm going to need to play around with the rear shock a bit to compensate.

After quite a bit of back and forth I picked up a new Pivot Switchblade (Race Xt Build). It joints my Pivot Mach 4 Sl which has served as my race bike (and everything mountain bike). I sold my Gravel bike to fund the purchase so I’m now fully on the two mountain bike no road bike train. I realized that all of my best rides were happening on the mountain bike and there were a lot of rides I’d enjoy more on a bigger bike than my Mach 4. This will also let me take better care of the ‘race bike’ and do more in depth repairs without worrying about not having a mountain bike for a few days.

I was on the fence but my shop got a switchblade in my size and offered me a pretty solid discount and it was the build I’d been wanting.. Really thrilled with the bike and I’m excited to slowly make it my own over the next few years. Feels silly having two fancy bikes but I’m pretty thrilled.

Excited to try the DD casings! I was bending the sidewalls pretty hard on my Nobby Nics, and I took out the CushXC so I’m hoping the bike feels more planted and less wobbly taking off and landing jumps.

Light is small, light, seems bright enough and like a good pattern but tnr last week was short enough to not need it. Maybe next week. Replaces a cheap light i got on amazon years ago that was bright but put out a really narrow spot and you had to deal with a battery pack. Now between this and the L&M 1200 on the bars I have a pretty good self contained setup.

Those stems are so damn sexy. I'm still sad that I flipped mine to run it as a riser. I like how the bike rides with it up, but I can't use my K-Edge mount anymore.

First I've seen of the Outbound lights. They look nice.

I was hoping I could run it pointing up lower on the steerer and that the k-edge would tuck in between the clamp deals but not quite. I'd rather not have 15mm of spacer and a tall top cap below the stem but this bike has a really low front end. And I generally like that, road and cx bars are really low. Might try dropping it 5mm to see.

Related note I have a 50mm long enve aluminum stem I don't need any more if anyone wants it.

It's funny, I originally got my I-9 stem to run a K-Edge also.

The Outbound lights are awesome. The beam pattern and mounting hardware are great, definitely well engineered for MTB use. I replaced a pair of L&Ms with them, so not even comparing to cheap Amazon crap.

It's a Framed Twenty 9er Spacecraft Collab. Pretty sure it weighs 48 pounds. Perfect.

My son will probably have outgrown his 24" bike by the spring. Youth 27.5" options are limited and all have some drawbacks so I've been keeping an eye out for a XS adult bike. The geo on the Altitude seems pretty solid and comparable to the Norco Sight Youth. My main concern is the standover on the Norco is 650 mm while the Altitude is 814 mm, but I think that is due to differences in how RM and Norco measure standover (200 mm forward of the BB vs. the lowest point on the TT, respectively).

Have considered a big BMX 26/29 or DJ for similar purposes but that last sentence rings true for me too, which is perfectly fine on my relatively LLS HT I already own for pump track and small jumps I do.
