There is nothing to admit because no one can ever provide examples when I ask and now you are completely making things up. Where have I ever said FL was middle of the pack in new cases, hospitalization, etc.? You know I was referring to Florida's middle of the pack status OVERALL. <-- Some blatant misinformation there.

End game for me is the same as it should have been 18 months ago. Gov't should do nothing and leave it to individuals and businesses to decide how they want to act.

I have been completely clear when referring to FL being middle of the pack I'm talking about the entirety of the outbreak. Why do you want to judge this race on the last 10 meters rather than the entirety?

What is intentionally misleading about my claim that FL is doing fine because they are middle of the pack in deaths despite having one of the oldest populations? It's only because for some reason you think the last month is the only time period that matters. I look forward to coming back in the fall and pointing out how terrible some of the favored blue states have done when they start getting hit again and FL is doing great.

I posted a couple of days ago that Florida was #1 in new case rates; hours later NYT changed its tables and had Florida back in #2 position where it remains. Florida is, still, #1 in hospitalizations per population, though, and has since risen from #3 to #2 in Covid deaths per population.

In absolute numbers (not per capita), Florida is currently #1 in all three categories.

All-time numbers (not the present), Florida is #8 in case rates per capita, #3 in all time case count. It's #23 in all-time deaths per population (#4 in total deaths). If you want to cherry-pick, yes, that one #23 metric is mid-pack; but it's very much on the rise, and it won't be anywhere near mid-pack a month from now.
