I'm watching this somewhat, because I want to go to Italy next Feb. and March.

They still haven't figured out how a vaccinated American can use the app.

I'm back at work after feeling like shit for 9 days. Yesterday I felt a little better and even better today. Wasn't super sick, just had no energy at all. Feel like I lost 10 days of my life. Saw a lot of Olympics though.

So half of my building is not vaxed. I'm in a leadership role, so I really have to be careful what I say, but I'm having a hard time. Lady today came by my office to welcome me back and asked how I was feeling. Told her fine, mostly pissed at the non-vaxers (she's not vaxed). She sheepishly said she's still not sure yet. I just put my hand up and said, "I can't talk to you about that. It won't end well." And she said "OK" and left.

I'm hearing rumors my work will require vaccinations once the FDA approves it. Can't wait for that.

The problem with this system is that very few people have registered for it (I have).
It's even easier here in CO.

Enter your info a voilà - there's your COVID vax info.

In today's information age I guess it's *possible* that some states don't try to keep track... but I'm pretty doubtful.

Is "laxed" a term I haven't heard or a typo for vaxed?

HIPAA nor any other law prevents a premises owner from asking reasonable questions about a customer’s health condition in order to keep his staff and others safe.

Further, with an Executive Order requiring a mask, the business owners are well within their rights and may have a duty to exclude anyone who is not wearing a mask or otherwise presents a risk of harm to others but try telling that to Marj.

As far as I know there's no history of racist intent behind proof of vaccination, thus not racist.
That's pretty much the definition of systemic racism--when a policy or practice adversely affects a racial group without racist intent. In the case of proving vaccination the policy adversely affects black people and white supremacists.

I'd get an mRNA shot if I were you. (And given that you're 5300 years old it probably won't kick your ass.) Here's one piece of evidence. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...other-n1274674

I was able to get as far as downloading the QR code to my phone but got an error when I tried to save to my phone. Maybe it doesnt like android. I saved the text from the state which has a link to the QR code so I can still get it with a few extra steps. I hope.

according to a survey conducted in the spring, only about half of adults under the age of 40 have gotten the vaccine or definitely intend to do so, and that, among the rest, 56 percent say they are concerned about side effects.
Article says the milder side effects of Novamax could make it more attractive to the fence sitters. And it doesn’t have the mRNA stigma that some people feel.

The QR is just a slop-tolerant optical thing, so you should be able to store it using screen-capture, or perhaps by taking a picture of it on your computer screen.

I guess the NBA is guilty of systemic racism against white people (and Asians).

I suppose the 'ed' was not needed? Lax is a word. I was trying to say I was pissed for letting my guard down. Not pissed for getting vaxed. I can see how that could be confusing to some. My apologies.

save the shots for the people that need them you selfish fuck.

Official booster recommendatons come out soon from the CDC. Elderly will go first. The WHO already stated that there should be no boosters in first world countries until the abysmal global vaccine rollout gets more shots in more arms.

Our local doctor has been recommending boosters for those with the J&J for over a month.

And Europe has already said, that’s cool, we’re gonna move forward with them any way.

Is the concern that there is little point to getting the next shot because medicines you are on will keep your body from having an immune response and therefore the vaccine will not be as effective? And if that's the case, then maybe your docs see little value in getting the vaccine?

I was in the same boat as iceman and just got a Moderna shot to boost my J&J from April. I had zero side effects back then but the second shot laid me out for a day. It was worth it.

Pharmacies here are giving out shots to anyone who walks in. There are more than enough available in the US. Obviously we should be distributing them around the world but getting a booster now is definitely not taking them out of the arms of anyone in need.

Looks like SF General is on board with the boost protocol for J&J recipients.

The WHO is looking directly at your doctor and admonishing him/her for hoarding ALL the vaccines in rich first world countries.

Europe has already told the WHO to get fucked. I guess that's ok as the WHO has been exposed as a joke over the past 1.5 years.
