I think this is a winner. I get to 15 points before I start counting the lights

And extra points for the ironic stickers in rear window and passenger side that appear to say “Adventures_with_Less”.

It does appear to be missing traction plates though…

Which one? The one on the bumper Flounder describes, the one on the can SYF describes, or the $550 one from Yakima across the back?
The last of which I’ve seen built from pvc pipe for about $30.

It's like that shovel was designed by someone who never used one.

Looks like traction boards. Which is funny because it will make it even harder to get bikes on the tailgate.

    That’s it...it’s time to play G.O.T.O.S.

Looks like the rear upper bar is hinged so bike access only requires that extra step of unlocking & lifting it, among the others to get bikes over that tailgate…

I recall visiting my Grandparents as a kid and driving all over western WA in their Dolphin to go fishing.

    That thing was fucking awesome.

Wish I'd had the foreknowledge to snag it when they passed.

I live in fucking Danbury. It's seriously amazing how much of this stuff I see around here. Mostly pristine. Pretty sure my 2014 Mazda3 wagon has seen more offroad action than most of the GOTOS rigs I've seen around here.

That looks like a John Kearney bumper sculpture.

Cool dude. Lots of his art in chicago and ptown

He lied about his age to enlist for ww2

Not sure that’s his work. But very similar.

I agree this vehicle doesn't make sense, but around here (east coast) you see vehicles set up for driving on the beach. If you have an oversand permit you can drive way out and camp and fish all night. It's super fun. That said, you see stock RAV4 with aired down tires doing just fine, sometimes the ruts get deep but overall you don't need what you see there.

I recently drove way down hole in the rock Rd in Escalante. There was one deep hole that had a plastic bumper in it

Are those stock bumpers and running boards? They don't look like steel which means the hi lift is going to be pretty useless.

Where do you even overland on the east coast?

I still see one driving around town. If I see it again I'll grab a pic.

Should probably get a couple negative points for signs of use.
