You get 100 good days of weather a year in Chicago that are exclusively from June-Sept.
Rooftops and patios are much more enjoyable than bone-shattering cold and wind during the winter.
I do love visiting between Thanksgiving and Christmas though.I still call it The Jake.

Never got shot at while visiting the Art Institute, U of C, going to cubs or hawks games, taking the El, walking around... But the Weiner's Circle around 2am can be a bit hair raising ( grin ).

Yeah, that's probably about right. Like much of the eastern half of the U.S. it can be a crap shoot, though. Could be sweltering or stormy during those months.
