I laughed.

I'm fairly young, but old enough to remember tram laps, and even "beating the tram", where you take it up and beat the same one back down and get back on it again. Walk on, no lines. Tuesdays, maybe Wednesdays, before Forbes and all them lit these places up like the 4th of July.

Am I right to assume I'll never experience that again? At least I got to see the good ol' days, I'll be able to tell my children and grandchildren.

My kid has only been to JH once, about 3 years ago I think--his routine was tram>Corbett's>Headwall>tram and repeat. I think he did 5 laps his first day there. The rest of the days he skied with friends. I'm sure he never managed to beat the tram.

No, just like the free trial subscription services that automatically renew, their business model is actually reliant on people forgetting and/or not reading the fine print.

If anyone is still looking for a pass this morning and are sad they missed the renewal discount, or just wants to wait until a later date send me a PM. Our group does not increase until the 17th of the month. I’m also guessing that is when online prices will increase. The only thing they removed as of yet is the renewal discount. The kid discount is still active this morning and online prices are steady.

The Ikon Pass allows 7 days COMBINED and the Ikon Base Pass allows 5 days COMBINED at Alta Snowbird. The Passes do not offer 7 or 5 days at each mountain.

Base $779 (renewal $739)
Full $1049 (renewal $999)

Aspen/Jackson add on is still $150.

So Base price went up $50, and the renewal discount went down $40 (was $80). Kid price also went up $50, but it looks like they are still offering $100 off with purchase of an adult pass.

Sugarbush Resort is raising its minimum wage for all nontipped positions to $15/hour, effective immediately. In addition, the resort will be making wage adjustments for tipped positions and other eligible staff members to maintain a differential in pay.
