For anyone in the Durango area, my buddy is making tonic syrups. Available at star liquor and nature's oasis so far.

At the Dunwoody Costco? It's been probably since the holidays since I hit that one up (since we can't have one with a liquor store down here for some reason) but it was available then. I remembered this thread and got some. It was a good stand-in for my usual Beefeater.
I still call it The Jake.
I still like Bombay Sapphire. Both before and after Memorial Day.
Last time I made them the recipe was:
Mythology Gin
Q tonic
Ice
Lime
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.
I’ve been digging the Milanese G&T. Splash of Campari, gin and tonic

I haven't surveyed a ton of options, but I like this Small Hand Foods syrup: https://amzn.to/3vxYB6U
I also have a sodastream rigged with something like this to a 20lb Co2 tank, so a $10 Co2 fill gets me 2L of soda water a day for about 6 months: https://amzn.to/3e7xHgA
If you like Beefeater, have you tried Boodles? Friend recently gave me a bottle. For some reason I had never had it before. Not bad! Beefeater's a great standard, but I found it a bit too neutral for my Gin tastes. Don't get me wrong. I buy it once in a while as sometimes that's just the ticket, but overall I like a tad more punch. Which Boodles seems to have.
And like already said above, Bombay Sapphire. You just can't go wrong with that one. To me, that hits all the right notes of the "botanicals" without just getting stupid with it like so many micro-distilled Gins I've tried.
Apparently the estate of Hunter S Thompson is releasing a Gin made with botanicals grown on the Owl Farm.
WAIT WUT?! I had NO idea that existed! Thanks! I needed that in my life. Seriously. Wife and I mostly use our sodastream for just making straight club soda to pair with whiskey. The little bottles last long enough but I hate wasting it on a full bottle when I only need a small amount of soda. So I begrudgingly have been using cans of prepackaged stuff. Definitely ordering that kit! That makes the economics much more palatable. In the long run at least.
heh, beefeater is just my bar-gin (for G&Ts). for martinis, Botanist or St. George Botanivore/Terroir. for martinez, Old Tomcat. for general mixology, usually Amethyst. i like boodles, it's great for the price. honestly not a fan of bombay sapphire - not that it's bad, i just don't think it's particularly compelling either.
yeah bar tonics are becoming increasingly common now; they're fantastic. Small Hands Foods is among the best (as is their orgeat and other syrups) but there are a number of companies making them. here's another fantastic option:

I just use Hendrik's or the Botanist, 'cause I'm a pretentious bastard.
if you drink hendricks then you absolutely need to try a hot charlotte. one of my favorite summer time drinks, classic enough to rival the G&T or the margarita;
1 tablespoon diced cucumber
Tabasco sauce (to taste)
1½ ounce Hendrick’s Gin
1 ounce St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
¾ ounce lemon juice
1 cucumber wheel (for garnish)
Muddle the cucumber, shake on ice, serve on fresh ice
10/10

Oh yes. St. Germain has become a summertime staple in my bar for when I want a mellow, delicious gin drink. SO good together!
