Testifies that Chauvin’s actions were in accordance with Minneapolis Police policy, then under cross-examination admits he never even read the Minneapolis Police policy manual. I would assume outside expert witnesses on both sides are being paid. Witnesses from Chauvin's dept, the county coroner, etc would not be paid, outside of their usual salary. But when it comes to finding experts to try to justify Chauvin's acts the potential pool is very small, not very distinguished, and it costs a lot to get someone to lie that flagrantly under oath.
