E-tow looks so dang close to WC in this pic. Certainly the best cabin on the mountain.
^^^ agree. Unbelievable that it took until the last day of winter to get Super Bowl and WC open.
Yall want to yell at someone, yell at the Forest Service. They require a snow road of a certain caliber to that terrain. It's why porcupine and WC aren't open yet, because there's just not enough snow to cover the tundra.
The boots are so old, they are drying up.
I just saw that LL patrol is holding “Tryouts” soon. Maybe y’all should give it a shot!
Yeah!
I can drink coffee and not open terrain with the best of em!!

^^ exactly. WC/Porc should be opening today, though hopefully tomorrow instead.
Also, the road is already established for north gates as best as possible where there is snow. It also comes down lookers right of Rock Chutes. There were patrol tracks the other day on Field of Dreams, some markers & ropes are already set for east of north gate #2. Clock is ticking.
I doubt your doubt

The Tennessee Creek gnar!
The place is ridiculously flat overall, but the stuff off the new T is pretty steep and tight. Sure they didn’t get as much as LL, but no one chasing after it either. Easy drive from Georgetown and broke up my monotony a little.

The new backside lift has fun terrain, they just need to thin the trees ever so slightly. Anyone who's skied that "mountain" but not that lift needs to check it out.

Some of the terrain reminds me of Resolution Bowl at Copper (but less steep). The novelty of finding stuff barely touched after noon was not lost on me.
I’d agree some of the new stuff could be thinned, but I felt the same way about the Beavers first time I skied them. Would be $$ with the right conditions.

I've skied back there a couple of different days. One was early season before any bumps formed and it was deep powder, so fun. The last time I went It was all bumped up (not in the woods) and the shapes of the bumps were so gawdawful that I got mad and left. You guys have inspired me to ski in those woods again. Yes they are tight. There is also a mank factor to consider, but a cold and cloudy new snow day could be fine.
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.
