You should try a ozone generator. I bought one from Amazon for under a $100 for a car with horrible dog stench and slight mildew after about 8 hours of cleaning the carpet, etc... it was my last hope. A few cycles with the ozone generator later the car smelled 97% better.

Spied my first RS6 Avant in the flesh this weekend. Very very nice. My wife even commented "I want THAT!"

Sebring Black Crystal, brand new with temp tags... Someone's hooning in Aspen.

Title shouldn't be "The Best New Station Wagons of 2021," it should be "The Only Station Wagons of 2021."

Welp. Ends up that the most expensive wagon EVER is a late 90s maybe base model beater Volvo V70. $20MM asking. Dude just might get it, too.

Looks like it closed at $14.5K, not bad I guess. I was pretty close but lost by price is right rules.

Fellow wagon enthusiast buddy of mine shows me this pic of his bud’s wagon that he picked up recently because the dealer couldn’t find a buyer. Next to no miles, CPO, diesel, manual, unicorn wagon.

Manual? That doesn't seem right. Cool of it's true though.

Cool car but it has 2 pedals unless someone spent a boatload converting it aftermarket. f31 was auto only in the states with gas or diesel options. e91 was the last manual. I bet a diesel f31 gets close to double my 20mpg average though.

I asked the same question too. But being a friend of a friends wagon I’m sure the proof or lack thereof is coming any minute now. The story is compelling enough, red leather interior, wagon, clearly a “d” why not toss one more feature on there that would make it all but unsalable to the masses.

Be sure, I had my bud ask the question. We’ll see if we get the pics.

    It’s nice to dream.

I've always had a soft spot for wagons and I finally picked one up a couple weeks ago. I've been driving a 99 Jeep Cherokee (sagging bad enough that it looks like a wagon, ha) but I got a new job that requires more driving so I needed something more fuel efficient.

I picked up this little 97 Saturn SW2 on Craigslist... 115k, 5 speed, 1.9 DOHC. I've put over 1k miles on it and it's getting getting 32 MPG. It only weights 2400lbs so it actually moves pretty quick. Skis fit just right between the front seats!

Well, I'll be. Didn't think i would see a Saturn wagon in here. They made em, and not many, for like 6 years or something. I had a Saturn in High School for about 7 months. Thing had a cd player on a tray attachment from radio shack.

nice - those things are pretty bombproof! Extra points for the stick! Looks extra clean.... That post begs another question - What's under the cover?

What did you use to beat back all the women?

Nice wagon Waveshello, that thing is incredibly preserved.

They all came running back when my next car turned out to be an 89 Tempo with the mahogany crushed velour seats. Even the dash was red.

Quick story - that car had these little seat belt release levers on either side of the ebrake as I recall. When pulled up, an annoying ding occurred until they were put down. My buddy carpooled with me and would pull them up to initiate dinging. When I went to put them back down, he would honk the horn because I couldnt bat his arm away. I spent a year constantly deciding if I wanted to go mad from dinging or honk at inappropriate times.

That car also had an Eazy E tape stuck in the player and a miswired harness so the wipers and lights were interchanged. No one else could figure out how to drive that car in inclement weather. Ran into a cat on the way to school and had it wedged somewhere in the engine bay for months until it finally burned off. Fuck that thing smelled.

I cant tell either, but it looks close to PT Cruiser styling. Chrysler is my guess though.

Oh fuck I’m dying Art. That’s hilarious.

My buddy had the upmarket Mercury Topaz in the same red.

His came with a baby spice sticker on the dash. Custom.

Sellers photos, but I think he mentioned a scion? The westy was in equally good condition, he gave me a tour. The guy was a friend of carroll shelby and owned two shelby cobras back in the day--he had pics to prove it. This saturn was his baby and he had all the original goodies and extras for me. He loved it so much I felt guilty for buying it, haha.

This one has the original tape deck of course. I actually found a Bluetooth adapter that is the same dimensions as a casset that you just slide in and pair with your phone... Pretty amazing.

Now I just need to find a few good tapes to play when the adapter needs to be charged.
