Plattekill currently has my East Coast top spot. Killer homemade mix, spicy pickled green beans sourced from the Ahmish county, and the jalapeño and pickled onion garnish are ++. Where else East Coast has this crucial item covered?
Had a great one at whiteface, a year ago.

    My Nanee's mix was:
    1 rocks glass
    2 fingers gin
    3 dashes tabasco
Fill with Clamato! ( do they even make this anymore?! )
    Add a celery stalk.

No, tough little Armenian. When you'd get in trouble she'd make you go cut your own switch for her to lash you with. If you cut one too skinny and it broke, you'd get double lashes. Made you really consider...

i strongly prefer Tequila for my tomato juice, a bunch of olives and hold the ice. watery marias are no bueno. can’t recall the last time i was in a bar 13+ months ago. looking forward to the fire place table in the basebox, or maybe platty’s new deck under a blue sky next spring.

Whiteface used to be my favorite. Not so much anymore. Maybe it’s just COVID (get you out quicker by giving you a smaller drink?), but it’s shrunk in the last year!

I know it’s big in Canada, eh?, but the Bloody Caesar (Clamato) hasn’t won me over. Note for if Canada ever opens....Christine’s on Blackcomb makes a mean Bloody Caesar, garnish includes a stick ‘o meant along with the usual veggies.

Apres at Platty today I did the Mezcal Bloody. Tequila and I have a bad relationship, I doubt Mezcal is any friendlier!

I was glad to see them making snow honestly. Seems like a bold move. I guess we’ll see afterward how smart or dumb it was.

My initial reaction was that they must be doing ok financially to be blowing snow in March to try and extend the season. Good for them! Better than going to weekend only or shutting down early.

I agree, though in this case they’re only open to the public Friday thru Sunday anyway

    platts?

i like it. a lot. this seems to be the rare season where it will pay for those lean and mean mountains that stay on, especially if higher capacities are possible.
    last pic especially nice brownski.

Has anyone heard the rumor from ikon about sugarbush? I heard that they are reopening after their closing date and next years ikon will be valid until they run out of snow. Anyone have any more on this being even close to non rumor?
