I wasn't up there yet, but stories (and meathead videos) of that winter convinced me to go north. then perry told me to go to jackson with ssc. then he said go to alta. woof.

Looking good this week, freeheel skiers getting after it all over, interesting locations visited, blast from the past review, Phall visiting soon and Dr Butta offering advise

Jedi Noah and I went for a stroll in search of untracked. Due to so many followers destroying zones this season we went up one side and did some thicketeering to shake off any followers, good times.

    Solid work to both Gs!

I can't believe I sold those skis to Laps. Was just mentioning to Mrs. MNIAW how much I regret selling those but at least they're being used for what they are best at and not sitting in a closet to be used 5 times in 3+ years.

Bob Skinner's at Sunapee is pretty good. (Or, they were 3 seasons ago. Haven't been back since). If I needed a real boot fitting, that's where I'd go - and I'm not even in the area.

PJ at racestock for Stowe area, imo.

MNIAW, the skis already have around 20 days on them this year. I am a happy customer. Thanks!

I can also vouch for PJ/Race Stock. He did a couple of my boots back in the day. There's actually some connection between him and the guy at Skinner's, but I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

+ for PJ in VT... he set up several of the athletes I worked with over the years when he was Lange race service. Legit has seen it all.

In Maine, Lionel at Happy Tunes in Carrabassett is my man from way back. He also has a large supply of $99 DH race boards ready to giv 'er a go on Narrow Gauge.

Buttah, do you notice a difference if you put the left ski on the right, etc.?

Hmm. 730? I don't see that in the Swix or Toko catalog. Is it special order?

I only have the Toko bulk stuff. I think it's just candle wax actually. It's sticky in the cold.

Toko is good warm wax, Swix rules the cold. Try Swix CH6 or LF6.
