Parking was tight at both gates this morning. Lots of families walking with sleds sporting Pats merch.

Nice 6-12er on the forecast. Feels good to be excited for some snow!

Not sure how to enjoy it. Bolton is sold out.

Might go rip the tow rope at the ‘dak

Ragged can fix the zipper if you are near Conway and still in need.

Ended up at Smuggs. Great day! No pics too busy ripping.

Wide corals, patrol asking to mask up, lifties killing it and only 20 minute waits.

Yea and the refils did not suck

Sorry we missed you. Took AM runs with moeghoul and fussy d. M and I caught an early lap on unspoiled pow under M2. FD and I had some fun on the natural snow on Hangman’s and Treasure Island.

I then came home and swapped gear for some shuffle and glide on the golf course with the missus.

2 laps before the lifts spun today were sweet! 5-6” of dense, surfy pow did not disappoint.

Zipperheads. assuming you're stuck with a half zipped jacket - you're about to take to a seamstress, so don't be shy about
taking pliers and gripping and ripping, if you fk it up, no loss, they'll need to totally replace it anyway. lubricate with bar soap, beeswax, anything. pull that zipper down with authority and free it up.

take a look into the socket where the male end goes in, impacted shit there doesnt allow proper mating, pick it out with a safety
pin, dentist picks, whatever. take a look at the actual zipper mechanism, does it looked stretched out like some old [insert vag joke here]
use pliers and cinch that up. if you get it working and it's way too firm, pry it back out a bit. im 4 for 6 on this, but sometimes need a seamstress for total replacement.

and dont blame YKK they make fine zippers, blame cheap ass manufacturers looking to improve profit margins. good luck
and thanks for the stoke all.
PS enjoying pgt tunes akok, tku

Good beta. Thanks. Glad you got a good day out there. Was at Burke today. Great snow. 6”?maybe 8” of dense snow. Limited terrain so got choppy quick but was still soft enough to blast through @ speed and fun to slide on non groomer terrain for a change. Saw a massive back flip from the lift which I found to me fk’n rad. Love to see the whipper snappers getting after it.

Sterling looked like this by late morning. Honestly it looks worse than it was. Madonna 2 had a shorter wait but less terrain.

Cool Cluster F**CK at Jay Peak, Bonnie shutdown in morning

Well, Jay Peak was a Zoo too. I was there, Saturday for an 8:30 start, parked in the 242 (first) lot. Lined up before the Jet started boarding, already crowds out to end of the corrals. Took one run, nice snow Montrealer then left edge Angels Wiggle.
Lineup for chair was now snaking above the first lift tower ! Turns out the Bonnie chair wasn't running at all, so everyone was rushing over to the Jet.Click image for larger version.

I went back to my car, grabbed pack and skins, and started climbing. No way I was going to stand in that line. Skinned up to Northway, then decided to ski over on Taxi and see if Bonnie chair was running yet. Bonnie chair still closed.
Decided to bag it, head home, but now Ski Patrol were standing at Stateside base, with big banner, ropes and "Closed " sign blocking access back to Jet. I could see the chair was running, and boarding skiers. Some kind of accident?

"The Jet is at capacity" I was told by the Patrol. Capacity???
Me: "I just want to get back to my car in the 242 lot"
Patrol "How do we know your not going to ski" They thought about it for a moment, then said
Patrol "You can walk along the access road , back to your car"
Patrol "We will radio ahead (to the Jet) and make sure you don't try and ski." Don't try and ski?
Remember, the Bonnie isn't running, and now they won't let skiers go over to the Jet from Stateside base either !

So I took my skis off, over my shoulder and walked to my car, back in the 242 lot. Drove home.
Oh and they hassled me about not having the current uphill armband too. I had last years up hill/Skinning armband on my pack, and my current seasons pass.

Lol. I’m in your picture on the far right line in the faded yellow jacket. And closer to the chair

Kudos to y’all for getting after it. So far I’ve let both of these weekend storms go. At least we have everything except King Pine running now, just not much terrain to share with the unwashed masses. I’ll take a look around tomorrow morning.
