    pow on a rain day!

too bad the place is such a hike...

This is why the Amish only use hooks.

Just came here to say Happy New Year to all my ECRC bitches. See you all next year.

Yer startin early! Cheers to you as well!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

One of my kids and his buddies wanted to take a full moon hike to watch the sunrise. My wife suggested I tag along to keep an eye on them. Not really any snow, but pretty friggin' sweet.

Pleasant Lake, New London, and Ascutney in the background. Okemo and the mighty King Ridge (behind the tree) to the left of it, and Killington to the right.

Looking the other way. You could actually see Boston on the horizon (but not with my shitty eyes).

This thread is shocking, SHOCKING! Since the rain came through there have been no flame wars, no obnoxious carping, and only stoke, pretty pics, and good tidings.

I'm very disappointed in all of you

I believe that I worked with the person who they recommended to fix your stuff for nearly 7 years. She's fixed a lot of my jackets and ski pants. Really great person.

East Coast Roll Call #??? 20-21 Covid closures and hard core touring! Be Fit or Sit

Dusting on the Notch Rd made for decent turns on the Stowe side. We used the nordic equivalent of snowlerblades. Believe it or not, they were made that short for adults. It’s no surprise they haven’t been manufactured for 20 years!

Meadow skipping, knee dipping, barely ripping, slightly slipping, kinda zipping - https://vimeo.com/496081361

We got harassed by an old guy wearing lycra and AT race gear for not wearing masks. He told us the governors mandate required it. I guess he didn’t read the second paragraph - “Masks or cloth facial coverings are not required when someone is engaged in strenuous exercise or activity when physical distance of six (6) feet can be consistently maintained”. I’m no quack anti-masker but at least follow the science. This guy was wearing a mask, solo, and not anywhere near another person. It’s like wearing a mask in your car. Who are you protecting?
    /end rant

And to the cute blond with her friends asking us to provide her with skate ski lessons - I know you weren’t flirting, but I’m going to remember it that way. [emoji6]

    Yes. Everyone should telemark
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

Found a new spot! untouched powder for days, gets a little windy, and no matter how many laps you earn zero vert.

I took my kids to a kid's haircut place some time back and they had video games for them to play while waiting. Walked by one of the games and heard this song playing sans lyrics. I couldn't figure out what song it was and then it hit me. Not sure how to embed.

It's been pretty good groomer and whaleback skiing at the River, with a bit of softness this morning keeping things interesting. The snowmaking effort has been truly impressive with a lot of guns going in marginal temps to recover and expand; I'm glad I'm not footing the power bill.

Fingers crossed for more white stuff falling from the sky soon.
