Dude we shared a lift yesterday. Swapped broken leg stories.

Good times at Magic today surfing the grabby, sticky mank. Who knew you’d need a spring structure in December?

Took us a second and then we cracked up...he was making reverse turns! His uphill ski was leading and downhill trailing...but he was solid. It was hysterical.
you had me by keeping a straight face in your post.

got out to hunter yesterday with scottski. skiing in the rain typically better than the ice that rules until the next big dump.
above 34F at opening bell the groomers were fast and trustworthy. got better every run til it finally started raining after 1pm. 3 soaker runs and i was ready for a warm car.
glad i got out *before* these rains...it may be little while :0(

All the snow is in the river at about 1k in the Whites. I hope Woodstock VT and surrounding areas don't flood.

    This was around 8-10" Wednesday.

Yeah but snow in the city is a pain. Shovelling worry about parking my cars etc etc. Snowmaking, 5 month seasons, and longer runs w/decent vert is what we have. Not good snow/terrain.

Took out my new snowboard yesterday and turns were great. Man whatever I bought 6 years ago was a heap of trash fell anytime I picked up speed this thing crushed the blacks at Waterville hard without a single tumble.

Kinda have a feeling we're getting skunked hard for the rest of the year and have accepted it. One plank, avoid gnomes, couple overnight benders in NH. Glad I have this NH pass and zero will be spent at the window.

And there is this from Belleayre:

    Dear Belleayre Friends and Family,

After a tremendous amount of rain and high winds, which has severely impacted our ability to operate in the current environment, The Christmas storm has dumped over 6.5 inches of rain on Belleayre.

This morning, supersaturated snow from the Yahoo trail let loose and slid into the Overlook Lodge. The lodge sustained significant damage, with windows and doors broken. No injuries have been reported.

The mountain will remain closed for the 26th of December as we are unable to provide a safe environment for our guests. The operations team is working diligently to manage the current situation and help the mountain recover quickly as we head into the rest of the holiday week.

Down here, there was torrential rain for about 12hrs. I haven’t looked at pictures yet, but I’m sure glad I live on a hill.

Anyways, it was 62 at 4am...now it’s 34 and it’s snowing. Wth is going on?

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
