Great snow today, finally got in a spring ski day. Well minus the sun and shorts. Just a few downpours. Figured this is the year to ski in crappy weather as there were no lines. Name: 20201213_101804.jpeg

Edit to add I'm also using the filter buff. No fogging issues. I do need to check the filter every couple of runs to make sure it's not getting bunched up.

I wish my early-season legs could have skied today, but they are still pretty unhappy about yesterday!

They haven't finished Parachute yet and the crossover to DS was barely covered with natural snow. The footprints were soft and skied ok, for footprints.

During my 6 laps this guy kept getting closer to me, watched him maching down the hill hitting the same lips launching big. His facial expression when I passed him on the lift looked painful, and near the top 4 patrollers heading down with a backboard didn't look good.
    Take about 10% off there.

Rest of the hill looked like this. Todays dusting won't stop the ground from freezing, which is the only high point.
Grooming low today when I got up, we need snow.

All the bitching about down country skiers not being able to come to VT seems to have worked. Winter storm Gail is expected to pound the Poconos, Cats, Berkshires, and the Litchfield hills.

    well done VT-free.
bummer about the downed skier but it is way early to be taking too many foolish chances out there.
hard to believe i beat you to day one...strange year indeed.
and damn, the weekend did a job on that painted-white look at the bush posted friday.

you know where i'll be for this [anti-jinx] so-called storm.

Sorry all. I moved to PA and took the snow with me. If it continues we can talk about a go fund me for a home and state citizenship deal? I hear the steaux area is nice [emoji3].

In the meantime I am watching the radars and preparing to storm chase the poconoconoconos. Whooohoo!

No doubt. Look at that last pic of mine above. A river runs through it...

Probably got more vert at Belle after I left but for some reason only felt inspired to write about Plattekill...
