I left it at 3 laps, 27.2 kms (16.9miles). I adjusted it so it finishes at the UCI lap arch (I hope). I was use to the length from the race starting pen, but we just start on the side of the road, but with a short run in to the lap arch. Lets see if my math is right this week?
Let's keep it at 3 laps for another week (Tues and Thurs) to get the new joiners comfortable and feel like they can hang the whole time. Also I was trying to keep it under 1 hr. (45-50 minutes of racing with a few minutes of warm up).

So does the feather make it easier to climb? Maybe I should use that next time. Are the feather and the van considered cheating though?

It’s not cheating, we all get the opportunity to get the same Power Ups.
They have a few Power Ups in this weeks Zwift World Championships.

Draft Boost (van): increases the draft effect you are experiencing by 50% for 30 seconds. In a double draft event, this powerup will give you 3x the standard draft effect.
Use at higher speeds (flats and descents) when you are already drafting off another rider (since this powerup only helps when you are drafting.)
Aero Boost (helmet): makes you more aerodynamic (reduces your CdA by 25%) for 15 seconds.
Use at higher speeds (flats and descents), especially when no draft is available (although it is still useful when drafting.)
Burrito: turns off draft effect for riders within a 2.5m radius for 10 seconds. Event-only.
Use when attacking off the front so opponents have to work harder to follow you, or use it in the group to make everyone work harder for a bit.
Cloaking (ghost): makes you invisible to other riders for 10 seconds. Event-only.
Use when you want to get away from one or more riders. Deploy then hammer, in hopes that you will create enough of a gap that your opponents can’t grab your wheel.
Steamroller: reduces Crr for 30 seconds so you roll as fast as a road tire on pavement regardless of wheels or road surface. Event-only.
If you’re on a road bike, use this when you hit a dirt patch. (It also provides an advantage on cobbles, broke, ice/snow, etc.) If you’re on a mountain bike in the jungle, use this when you hit the wooden bridges or the hard-packed dirt at the bottom of the Jungle Circuit.
Anvil: makes your heavier for 30 seconds, so you can descend faster. Event-only.
Use this on downhills. Pair it with a supertuck to go extra fast with zero effort!

Dee thank you for the info. That is super helpful.

Edit: Ok, I just used my sweat points to upgrade from the base wheels and frame. Learning.

Mike was just gone. Nice man!

Pete hung on my wheel until 100 yards from the top of the climb and then just put it in another gear and walked away. 600 watts was a wee bit too much for me.

Seriously impressive boys. Fun time. Nice job everyone. Thanks again Dee

That was fun, had a feather for the climb and then just buried it to the finish. Saw you two chasing back, especially on that downhill section. While I was just counting the k to go. No racing w COVID for me this year, so gotta light those matches when they present themselves.

Not sure I’ll be able to make all of them, w/ 8pm start.

Thanks for organizing, was definitely a sweat fest for me and a challenge to hang in. That 8% hill......

Good reason to jump on the bike so glad to have the opportunity 👍

Heh, I'm an idiot who just needs to pick one, since I quit this ride and then didn't get into the next one on time. Zwift not giving me the "join meetup" button didn't help either.

This but picture my laptop on the bench

Made this trainer base out of a little square of mdf with some adjustable feet because the floor is a little uneven there

Then added a clamp and weights to hold the trainer down. Then needed to add another couple clamps, which now i should re-do with one on each corner. The stupid legs on that aren't centered over the bike so it's easier to pick the left legs up.

I have a old caad frame hanging up, been thinking about making a trainer bike. Would be nice to not be cranking on the fancy supersix in a trainer.

I had trouble getting into the event tonight.
I had to close Zwift, go all the way out, log back in before it prompted me to join event.
I read on some of the forums that this is common.

I'm so conflicted on giving a rainbow jersey for Zwift. This is one of those things that could either be a joke in 20yrs or grow into a huge discipline in of itself.

Guess they can only wear the Rainbow stripes indoors per the rules too right?

What a time to be alive has never been more true in 2020.

Well, they give a rainbow out for singlespeed cyclocross, so, what the hell, rainbows for everybody! As long as the indoor winners get the tattoo on their forehead I have no issue with it.
