How do you like the Wrens? I had a similar pair a few years back, really liked the shape, but they were custom one offs built for Wren him self and extra extra stiff. I passed them on quick, just wasn’t a huge fan.

I like, but don't quite love them. If the flex pattern was just a bit more round I think they'd click for me better. Basically they're quite stiff (not insanely planky, but stiff) from a little in front of the toe piece all the way through the tails, apart from the twinned up bit where they do soften up a bunch, but the shovels are kinda more medium. My skiing style has evolved a bit over the years to skiing a little more centered and neutral, and the Wrens want to be driven through the shovels pretty consistently. Good skis, just not the best fit for me personally.

Hum, interesting. That’s how I felt about the extra extra stuff pair too. If you don’t mind me asking, how big are you?

    6', 170lb.

This pair isn't too stiff for me overall, there's just more of a difference between the front and back halves of the ski than I'd like.

I’ve got 50lbs on you so that difference will be even greater. That difference one of the reasons I don’t like the Kaestle FX 106, and a few other skis like that.

Not much of a quiver but I've always been more of a quiver of 1 type.

I have been exclusively touring for several years now. Love my Camox Freebird (17/18 version before the latest revision. )

Excited for the Deathwish this season. It will be my daily driver, the Camox may see some early/late season action

    nice - getting dialed J!

Somewhat surprised that you keep the Ravens around if you click with w108s to be honest. Ravens were the biggest love/hate story for me last year - started out loving them, but they fell increasingly out of favor the more I used them. They are awesome in fresh, but then again that part of the quiver is not selected for fresh pow ability - but dense snow or lower snow days, conditions they frankly do less than spectacularly in imho (for me and how i ski at least).

    (Wren96s 179, Wren96tis 179, BMT90s 177, MVWs179, KVWs177, wood108s 182, wren114 179, ranger102 177, wildcat108s 184, wren108s 179, koala119s 184, wood116s 182, BG184s, C&D184s, BMT90s 163, BMT109s 166, BMT122s 176)

This is where i ended up last year. I have since sold the Ranger102FRs, Wildcat108s and Koala119s (as well as Ravens, Hojis, SGN Toggas, SGN UrRakkars, Praxis EXPs, Wünderstick106/118s, Kartel116s, R10s and R11s + a few more pairs), in spite of really liking the Wildcat108s, Koala119s and R10/11s. I've added a pair of BMT109s in 176 and a another pair of BMT122s, though in 186.

The right most three constitutes the Princess quiver, aka skis my friends/mom/sister etc can borrow when they visit. A pair of MVWs in 170 w/Meidjo 2.1s is about to be mounted and included as well.

Edit: also, I forgot to mention that the quiver will be spread out over two locations, so while somewhat bloated it is not quite as hopeless as it seems.

I have also been considering doing a major purge and/or buying Revolt104/121s and/or M-Free 108/119s - but have yet to decide. Time will tell.

Not sure if it's even a quiver, but with all the uncertainty about upcoming resort season I should be covered.

190 Ravens with Atomic Backland Tour + Dynafit Hoji Pro Tour boots as daily touring package

    189 Wrenegade 108Ti + Tyrolia Attack 16 as a resort charger

184 Folsom Powfish with Look Pivot 14 for those deep days at the resort.

Curious as well. Those protests look like hybrids/first gen since they don’t have the protest name or dimensions in the white area above the binding.
Sweet quiver TCK and everyone else.

188 Mountain Jib. One of my favourite skis ever, that doesn’t get much action these days.

If I remember correctly, the Piste Jib is just a narrower version of the old Mountain Jib, and the MVP 109 is the ‘newer’ version of the Mountain Jib.

I’ve always wanted to try the MVP, but read a few mixed reviews. I also fell in love with the OG Cochise, and have been skiing that as my daily driver for the last 5 years. They just got retired by some Mindbender 108tis this year.

I'll be curious to hear what you think. I'm also a Cochise lover, but I frequently ski with a kid now and they are BORING on mellower terrain. I picked up some Enforcer Free 104's which I hope can be good enough at kid-skiing and me-skiing, but I have to say I'm not all that psyched on the shape and flex. Hopefully my fondling-based impressions are wrong.

2020/2021 quiver... Finally added a BC setup after a friend gifted me the Vipec’s (I know, they’re Gen 1, but they were barely used and free),
