I would imagine that rule will put a hurt into patrol for some places. No word yet to ski areas in Maine beyond general guidelines which would be very tough to run

Been bummed since my county turned orange. Thinking not turning green for a while

Waist deep drifts at Smuggs today—nice morning for a walk with skis (or snowboards if you gotta be that guy)

Kinda chalky, kinda sugary. Dense and warming upside down. What do you say? Cold or spring wax?

What are the rules for patrons from out of state? Seems to me that would be more of an issue that resort workers.

Workers can come, ski areas try to limit it. Iriponsnow was wrong.

Skiers will need to attest to and follow the travel restrictions.

Stowe had a solid 10-12 with deeper drifts. Snow was definitely funky. 6inches of windslab on powder. Had to seek out steeper stuff to get any turning done.

    Fresh from Gov. Scott:

    SKI RESORT GUIDANCE
As for ski resorts, six safety measures are being put in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

    1. Visitors must comply with travel guidelines.
    2. Contact tracing information will be collected.
    3. Ski areas must reduce the number of out-of-state staff.
    4. They must reduce lift capacity to 50-percent unless those visitors are traveling together. Gondolas can only carry one party unless they’re big enough to comply with a six-foot buffer zone.
    5. Day-use lodges must reduce capacity to 50-percent or a maximum of 75 people in that space.
    6. Ski areas must loosen cancelation policies so sick people don’t feel pressured to come here or lose money.

    d. Out-of-State Staffing
    • Resorts shall reduce the number of employees and volunteers who come to Vermont for weekend work – such as ski patrol, ski instructors and other work. They must operate with the minimum out-of-state staff necessary to safely operate the resort.
    • The state’s existing travel guidance does not require quarantine for those traveling for work – however, relying on a large number of out-of-state workers who travel from areas with a high incidence of COVID-19 poses additional risk that could inversely impact a resort’s ability to operate.

    Directly from the guidance.

that's some pretty squishy language and not a mandate.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

So use as many daily/weekly travelers as you need to operate until an outbreak occurs in your staff causing you to shutdown?

Can’t understand why ppl see this as such an issue- stay in ur home state this year. Vermont does not need ur Covid Ass closing our slopes & interstate travel is kinda absurd at the moment.

Well, I guess anyone that is considered an essential worker Outside of VT is unwelcome, right? No cops, firefighters or EMTs

Without skier traffic resorts will cut operations if not close, some permanently. Is that what you want?

Yes, I want all the areas to go NELSAP. C’mon man.

That’s not how it works. I respect your states travel guidelines, you respect ours.

Are you planning on being a police officer, firefighter or EMT in whilst in Vermont? Or are you skiing?

Sure but she needs to lay in bed for 7 days and get tested or spend 14 days alone, then we’ll welcome her cumming clean.
