formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
Being able to replace the big cogs separately is pretty awesome. Surely they've learned something from the TRS cassette problems, right? Sounds like there's a long-term PB review in progress so I guess we'll find out.
The e13 stuff will be great in about 14 years when the xd driver patent expires and they can make a cassette that attaches properly.
Important to look at the shifts as a change in ratio not absolute difference in gear teeth. 42 to 50 is a little smaller jump that 10 to 12.
I see that new cassette goes 42 to 52t, which is a 24% change. The rest of the cassette is more like 16% between gears. Also the reason I went with the 11-42 instead of 11-46 on the 11 speed hardtail, the 2nd cog is a 37 on both. The 50 to 42 shift seems slow to me. 42 to 50 isn't noticeable but coming back off is not so great, even when i have the tension too far out.

I’m almost always in my second and third gear down while climbing. I certainly noticed when I went back and tried a SRAM bike.

That's probably the difference - I'm always in the 50 when I am climbing... and always looking for more.![]()
Oh, don’t get me wrong, around here I often park it in 51 and just grind it out slowly...

I’d love if Garbaruk came out with a replaceable pie plate. Of course, it would take them 9 weeks to fulfill an order!
I finally mounted my 11 speed 10-46 Garbaruk XD with Wolf Tooth oval and SRAM RED chain ... soooooo smooth! Can’t wait to hit the trail!

E13 ...... for those days when you’re thinking “I wish I had an essential component with the bling factor of Crank Brothers, but without their newfound commitment to reliability!”

Commencal Supreme DH V4.2
New rocker cost me $275 when all’s said and done. Better than a cracked frame I suppose.
