This. We are most definitely going to lament all the wasted food.

Did you contact your Congressman, and Senators to devise such a plan months ago? Did you see this coming and had your warnings fall on deaf ears? Just asking, I don't recall too much buzz about this scenario before the results started to be apparent.

Broilers don't stand a chance. They're having heart attacks and breaking hips before their eight week lifespan is up.

Didn’t know that but I’ll take your word with a grain of salt for it. Back to the distibution angle. We can put a monkey on the moon but not trick some chickens and jugs of milk?

haha. I mean, what other option is there really at this point? Even if it's imperfect at least it's an improvement over doing nothing right?

No I didn't...but as other countries faced similar issues long before we have one would think our government officials would have had this on their radar.

Or perhaps some of this was in the documents handed over to the tRump admin from the Obama admin. And a competent administration would have taken that information and then expanded upon it. Like in any disaster preparedness discussion, how to get the people fed should have come up. So in essence, there should be no need to write because the discussion had already been started.

Baaaaaaahaaaaahaaaa, are you here all week?
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Boss was asking about my wife’s job. Then said her nephew “George” (name changed) works there in a specific role. My wife hired this dwarf, and hand made parts of his uniform at home in her own time, he’s a fundamentally unproductive employee because he’s smaller and slower than the standard amount of work you plan for for his salary, and my wife just sucks it up because having him there is a value to the community and it’s the right thing to do.

I was like: George? ...he just started there this year? He’s a little person?

    She acts annoyed: “yeah”

I tell her I know who he is because my wife spent a lot of time at home working on his uniform.

She’s like: well, he’s a dwarf (lots of emphasis), and his mom does a lot of sewing.

Okey dokey then. Lesson learned: hiring disabled people is just a huge can of worms. Got it! Loud and clear! Thanks!
"Little person" is entirely OK in general, but if "George" wants to be a dwarf then he's a dwarf:

    https://www.lpaonline.org/faq
"Such terms as dwarf, little person, LP, and person of short stature are all acceptable, but most people would rather be referred to by their name than by a label."

George's Aunt is probably just a dumbshit, though. Statistically she should be based on what you've posted about the people where you live and work.

Governor Mills in Maine is going to give it a slow roll.

Some loosening starting May 1, but still groups less than ten.

June 1, group size goes up to fifty and some more loosening. Reservations for Maine residents or those who have quarantined for fourteen days at campgrounds and hotels.

July 1, Bars and tattoo parlors.

August 1, group size larger than 50, out of state no longer need 14 day quarantine.

All dates and openings after May 1, tentative. Tourism economy will be smacked.

Out grocery shopping for my mom in lockdown right now and it appears that W2 has given up.

Driving in I saw landscape workers standing around in groups chatting with no PPE or social distancing.

In the store I was one of very few people wearing a mask. Even saw what appeared to be a health care worker (scrub smock) with no PPE.

Stock guy, mask pulled down under his chin, flapping his gums with someone not more than 2 ft apart. People stopped in the aisle, no masks talking about getting together.

It's enough to make you think you're crazy and the whole thing is a hoax.
