Old people climbing the fence are likely fine.

I'm worried about young people climbing the fence. They are way more likely to asymptomatic carriers.

I assume someone with weakness & fatigue and age won't climb over a fence. Just old healthy folks climb.

weird. Home Depot near me is metering, most staff wear masks, has barriers to keep you away from cashiers, and registers are closed to force distancing. Wonder if it’s a store by store thing?

Seemed like there was a lot more early morning traffic on the road I live on today. People are getting anxious and attention spans are short so yeah, even though our SAH order runs through May 4th people are giving up and giving in to their desire for "normal."

Had to go to Wal-mart the other day because I was desperate for rice and none of my usual stores had any. There they are metering people. It was very strange. Felt like I practically had the whole place to myself.

Most stores here have set up the one entrance thing. I was a little dismayed to see our local Super1 (Rosauers) wasn't supplying their employees with masks. Some had homemade ones, some wore bandannas and others wore nothing. When I got home I sent an email to corporate commenting on that and asking why they weren't supplying them with masks. Got an email back today saying they contracted to have masks made for all staff and were distributing them.

Same here, except you int enter HD w/o a mask. I checked out in the garden center and it was easy to distance myself. State by state, county by county, store by store.

Best way to beat a pandemic is to piecemeal it all together with spit and toilet paper.

The Guardian: "French researchers are preparing to launch a human trial to test their hypothesis that nicotine can help the body combat the infection, Reuters reports.

The trial will involve groups of healthcare workers and patients wearing nicotine patches and other groups wearing placebo patches. Then they will be tested to see if there is a difference in how their bodies respond to the virus.

The trial is a follow-up to a French study, published this month, of public health data which appeared to show that people who smoke are 80% less likely to catch Covid-19 than non-smokers of the same age and sex.."

Wonder if those patches are by Gauloises or Gitanes? With Menthol or Sans?

The floggings will continue until morale improves.

That's a parroting point with the Trumptards right now - 'Man Bit In Half By Shark, Dies Of Covid - 19'.

Obviously, there aren't enough morgues or coroners to process thousands of autopsies a day, but hey, that's just facts getting in the way.

Not even close. If they started a clinical trial involving baguettes, red wine and a dozen cheeses which names you've never heard of I'd say it would be on point. The French don't smoke as much as they used to these days, the cost of a pack got prohibitively expensive for all but the strongest of addicts. Compared to when I was growing up it's shocking how uncommon smoking has become.

And in France it will definitely not be Menthols...

Part of this pick up in traffic could be from construction starting back up today. Also, with the word being that fishing and hunting are opening back up, people aren't taking the order as seriously as they had when it was first issued. Attitudes are definitely relaxing, especially in eastern Washington, since the numbers aren't all that relatively high compared to earlier model forecasts.

We got listed as a "hot spot" last week. Tri-Cities has it the worst of any county in this corner. We're not even to 60 but thanks to Tyson we've been adding 5 or so a day for the last week. No deaths so far but it has reached some long term care facilities including the VA.

Was at HD early last week. Place was fucking packed. 1 entry and 2 exits. No mask requirements.

It was impossible to stay away from people. Grabbed my picture wire and beat feat.

Yeah the whole “they’re listing COVID as reason for death because money!” wacko theory has really been spreading. My Winco cashier this weekend was spreading that story like mad, of course telling me that her cousin’s husband’s mom died of cancer and COVID was listed at cause of death. Fucking unreal. Meanwhile my morbidly obese coworker with uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, and history of lung problems decided to stop teleworking because she doesn’t feel as productive and she’s “done the research and it’s really just a bad flu”.

Plus the roads in Spokane are the busiest I’ve seen since the whole thing started.

A covidiot sent it to me, suggesting the red states run an experiment and drop the stay-at-home.

About 4:00 in the video he says they tested 5000 and found 300 cases, meaning 6% of the population is infected, a widespread viral infection. That is simply bad reasoning. They only test people they think are sick. 6% of those have it, not 6% of everyone

If you read international news, you'll find the red/blue experiment you propose has already been done
The "red" countries, most countries, discovered soaring infection rates, deaths, and overwhelmed hospitals. USA was one of these. Some "blue" countries include Taiwan, China, New Zealand, and South Korea. With no new treatments or knowledge, there's not much purpose in rerunning the experiment

The guy in your video goes on to make the same mistaken conclusion about California's numbers. He's out of his league. I didn't watch any further.

I assume the rest of the video is equally misguided

Same, same here in Bend. Only one way in and one way out. Same for Safeway grocery stores and Trader Joe's. On the other hand, ACE Hardware could care less.
