I don't get the estimate of dear rate being 3% or so.

There are 175,000 deaths to date, and 2.6mm cases. That's about 7% and understated, since the deaths are correlated with cases of a week or so ago, so it's higher.

That table is straight from the CDC website. See the note on the bottom regarding the lag.

I posted to show the general trend wrt to age, as OG seemed to notice, not total numbers.

Yes, but we also know a good percentage of people are asymptomatic and the vast majority of them would not have been tested. The reality is there have been way more than 2.6 million people infected worldwide. I'm sure that number is off by more than an order of magnitude.

Anywhere but here. I gotta say between Oktoberfest and Niseko I have a real low opinion of them as a whole. I guess as an American the same could be said about us.

Well, we were both founded by the dregs of the old world, them, more so, since Australia was Britain's penal colony.

I think it probably has more to do with age than nationality.

Wait til lawsuits they join force jurisdictions to let business open and infections skyrocket. It will of course be the local governments' fault for letting those businesses reopen. MAGA!

Close friends (husband and wife) who are both dentists. They've got two of their three kids at private college (full boat). They're shitting. Just doing emergencies at the moment. Anyone want to buy a practice in western NY? They want out.

I’m way behind but had to point and laugh. Skouger thinks COVID is killing 1 in a million people who are infected. Haha haha. What a moron.

This is definitely the place to advertise...

It will come back... My friend is close to retiring, so he's pretty well set. His son is buying his practice, tho. I mean look, people are converging on state capitals to protest getting their teeth whitened FFS!
