Can't find the video now, but I saw a YouTube video of some old guy in Europe who's been cutting dovetail joints in a furniture shop for decades. He used a bow saw, cutting freehand, and was making perfectly fitting joints with zero effort.

Was it this guy
:
If so, it's Tage Frid, a Dane who came to the US to teach. Famous for using a bow saw. I couldn't find a video of him cutting dovetails. He died in 2004 so there probably aren't a lot of videos of him out there.
Roy Underhill on The Woodwright's Shop used to cut dovetails by eyeball. He marked the depth but didn't measure or mark the spacing, the angle of the tails, and didn't square across. Then he marked the pins from the tails. All with a hand tools
A lot of companies are stepping it up for the good of all. I just saw this one.

We Make Memory When We Do Bussiness
Subaru saved my life today. Driving with my wife on the freeway and I nodded off and started drifting out of lane. The automatic steering jerked me back into the lane and woke me up. My wife didn't even notice. Thing was, it was mid day, I wasn't tired, good night's sleep the night before, so no reason to think I was too tired to drive. The cameras only see both lane lines half the time so I was lucky they were seeing them at the right time. Not sure how long I was out, I'm guessing no more than a second or two, maybe less.
When my son was in HS two of his friends drove up from Sacramento to climb Shasta, hustled back to make soccer practice, the one who was driving fell asleep in the middle of the day and killed them both. My son was supposed to be with them but couldn't go at the last minute for some reason.
Glad your still here
Glad you are still with us, OG.

Damn OG, I'm glad that worked out. Just an off day or wtf happened to cause you to fall asleep?
I fell asleep while transporting a brand new SUV to an airport and almost died. It was a mountain road and I had been up all night fighting with a girlfriend. Woke up in a field, still rolling, cars stopped honking at me. I gunned it, jumped it back onto the road, and caught up with my boss, who I was following. He was oblivious. It was probably the one spot in 30 miles where I wouldn't have gone off and landed in a lake or river or ravine.
First off, glad you're alright, O.G. Your shared wisdom and calm, cool, rational thoughts over at the rat flu thread have brought much light into the darkness of this unrolling virus thing. Can't speak for others, but your thoughts have calmed much anxiety in my mind by giving definition to things that are out of my wheelhouse of knowledge and consideration. Thank you. Glad you're still with us.
Secondly, this really impressed me...no, more like blew my mind into a million pieces.
94 years old and climbing legit rock...hats off to you, Marcel Remy. Thanks for the inspiration for remembering that there is a loooooooooong game to consider in this thing we call life.
